A Political Affair

A Political Affair

Adult Romance

A Political Affair isn't Fifty Shades of Red, White, and Blue, but it is a love story with spice and political intrigue. Stephen McEvoy never expected to fill his father’s U.S. Senate seat at such a young age—or to fight to keep it. When clever Anne Norwood interns in his office, Stephen dismisses her as another pretty face—until her independent streak catches his attention. They’re both too smart to fall for one another, yet they do. During a tough election, their relationship is an impossible political gamble. Campaigns—like love—are either won or lost.

Ash's Review...

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book as I normally don't gravitate to any type of political romance. I happily enjoyed this soft romance and found it easy to fall in love with their journey.

Stephen McEvoy is placed into such a high political position so early on in his career and although he is painted as being one to play the field, I found him so responsible and sort of boring at first. When he first meets Anne, who is carving her own path in life its easy to see why he became intrigued. They come from opposite political families with a large age gap with their fair share of hurdles to deal with.

Between Anne and Stephen, they build their relationship with a well thought out predictable pattern, that although doesn't lead to many twists or surprises is a very sweet story about love even when its not the most convenient.

All in all, its a cute love story that made me smile.
