Jules Montgomery is too busy and content with her life to worry about a man, especially one Nate McKenna. If growing up with four brothers has taught her anything, she knows to stay away from sexy men with tattoos and motorcycles. That goes double if he's your boss. During the one incredible night they shared, he violated the no fraternization policy...among other things, and it won't happen again. Jules won't risk her career for mind-blowing sex, no matter how much her body and her damn heart keep arguing with her.

Nate McKenna could give a shit about the no fraternizing policy. He wants Jules and he'll have her. The rules could bend around them, or be damned. He's not a man to be taken lightly, and Jules Montgomery is about to find out just how he responds to being pushed aside after the best night of sex he's ever had. She can fight all she wants, but he'll have her in his bed in the end.

FIGHT WITH ME is the second novel in the With Me In Seattle Series.

My Review...

So in the first book of the series I liked it but I felt their was something missing yet I was still invested in the characters.  With this I didn't have any real expectations but in this book it totally rocked and I have a feeling that this series is just going to get better and better.

In the first book we already meet Jules and Nate.  Jules was a pretty big character and super loving so wanted her to find the happiness she deserves.  I loved the chemistry between Nate and Jules. At times I found their relationship to be moving a warp speeds but the thing that balanced it out was Nate's love for Jules. You feel it ooze out of him from the very beginning and how Jules can't see this I have no idea.

Nate is loving, sexy, caring, supportive and just plain ol' bad boy hot.  If Jules didn't keep him then I sure would have. *Sigh* why do they have to be fictional characters.  I can't wait to see more of the brothers in the series.  Their protective loving side can have funny moments and harsh moments but in the end you know they that way because of how deeply they love their family.

Nate & Jules steam up the pages so be aware that you may need a air conditioning.  This is a great series and I am invested to find out more.

Too Stupid To Live

Too Stupid to Live (Romancelandia #1)

M/M Adult

by
It isn't true love until someone gets hurt.

Sam’s a new man. Yes, he’s still too tall, too skinny, too dorky, too gay, and has that unfortunate addiction to romance novels, but he’s wised up. His One True Love is certainly still out there, but he knows now that real life is nothing like fiction. He’s cultivated the necessary fortitude to say “no” to the next Mr. Wrong, no matter how hot, exciting, and/or erotic-novel-worthy he may be.

Until he meets Ian.

Ian’s a new man. He’s pain-free, has escaped the job he hated and the family who stifled him, and is now—possibly—ready to dip his toe into the sea of relationships. He’s going to be cautious, though, maybe start with someone who knows the score and isn’t looking for anything too complicated. Someone with experience and simple needs that largely revolve around the bedroom.

Until he meets Sam.

Sam’s convinced that Ian is no one’s Mr. Right. Ian’s sure that Sam isn’t his type. They can’t both be wrong . . . can they?

From Goodreads

My Review...

I have only read one other book by Anne Tenino - Frat boy and Toppy which I adored so I didn't know what to expect with this one but I liked it a lot.

Right away you love Sam and your heart goes out to him with his awkwardness and him filling out of place in life. You want nothing but the best for him. When he first meets Ian your heart falls a bit because Ian starts off a bit of a douche but he totally makes up for it later.

When doing this review I found out that the side characters of Nic and Jurgen  are from Whitetail Rock 1 & 2 and this book falls into the # 3 category.  I never read the first two but they were a great addition to this book and finding out more about the depth of Ian and Sam.

I loved Ian and Sam together and felt their love and chemistry right away. It also cracked me up with Sam's addiction to romance novels and his running parallelisms with his real life.

I know m/m is not for all but if you like the genre than this love story is a sweet book about finding love when you least expect it.

4 quirky thumbs up!

About the Author

Jeanette Battista graduated with an English degree with a concentration in medieval literature which explains her possibly unhealthy fixation on edged weapons and cathedral architecture. She spent a summer in England and Scotland studying the historical King Arthur, which did nothing to curb her obsession. To satisfy her adrenaline cravings—since sword fighting is not widely accepted in these modern times—she rode a motorcycle at ridiculously high speeds, got some tattoos, and took kickboxing and boxing classes. She gave up the bike when her daughter came along, although she still gets pummeled at the gym on a regular basis.

When she’s not writing or working, Jeanette spends time with family, hikes, reads, makes decadent brownies, buys killer boots, and plays Pocket Frogs. She wishes there were more hours in the day so she could actually do more of these things. She lives with her daughter and their ancient, ill-tempered cat in North Carolina.

I'll be honest--I wasn't planning to write a book like Leopard Moon. I had an entirely different story in my head at the time, but it just wasn't coming into clear focus. That's the funny way writing works though: there I am, sitting at a red light on my way to meet my friends for a birthday martini and pedicure, listening to Florence + the Machine and WHAM! The song Howl comes on and this whole lovely scene just starts unfolding in my head. There was Kess, running through the woods, ripping off of her clothes as she triggered a change into a black leopard. And there was Cormac, standing in a different part of the woods being beaten mercilessly by the villain. I didn't know Sek was going to turn out to be Kess' brother, but I did know who he was as a character and what he wanted.

It was truly a gift: the entire final fight scene just unspooled itself along with the song lyrics. Each beat of the song matched a key point in the fight. The more I listened, the more I realized that the lyrics could apply to all of the characters in the main triangle at some point in the story I suddenly wanted to tell. And I wanted that story to be more than just boy meeting girl--I wanted that story to be about girl saving boy, but more importantly about girl saving herself. The song Howl gave me Kess first and Sekhmet second, so a lot of what I tried to do with them was to show them as two halves of a whole, two sides of a coin. Howl, at least to me, wasn't a love song at all--it was a song about possession and obsession and all of those things that show up in our animal drives. that we'd like to forget exists.

So when I began to craft Kess and Sek, Howl played on a continuous loop. And though the song speaks of wolves, I knew these two had to be cats. Wolves have a more social nature and are more easily understood by us--I think it comes from them being a a precursor to our beloved dogs. Cats are an unknown quantity, strange and separate, even if they choose to share space with us. I wanted real darkness there, not just a brief bit of danger that would be easily resolved. Obsession and mental illness gave Sek that scariness, but also--I hope--a bit of sympathy. He really does love his sister and wants what is best for her and his clan. I never intended to excuse his behavior, but I did want to try and understand it.

Just like the song made me understand that narrator of that story. I can only hope I did half so well.

From Goodreads

My Review...

I thought this book was a super sweet book and well written.  Fred (Fredricka) and Ryan are from two different worlds but have two different things in common- golf & a dysfunctional family.  Those two commons is what bridges the worlds and lets them find each other.

Tumblr_mcbcmom4ob1rjpl2xo1_500_large

Fred was so sweet and misunderstood. I loved that she was from a different culture and that we get to see a glimpse of that world.  Ryan is a frustrated and an ignored boy from a more upper class world with completely brutal friends.

My bare arm folded across the open window as the air tickled my face. I closed my eyes and pretended that the wind was a boy kissing my cheeks.  (Fred's POV)

However, some way the are drawn together and begin to combine their worlds where all that matters is each other and not who you are or where you are from.  This journey was not an easy one though there were many hurdles to get their but it was worth it in the end because their love was the healing band aid that everyone needed.

I really liked this book and can't wait to read Riley and Sam's story.

Kasie knows who she’s supposed to be. But one passionate night with a mysterious stranger will teach her who she wants to be.

Despite her best intentions, when Kasie Fitzgerald enters the casino and sees him, a man whose tailored clothes belied a powerful, even dangerous, presence, she loses herself to the moment. It was supposed to be just one night. But right as she’s thinking she wants more, he shows up in her office with an agenda. As the billionaire CEO of a company that’s engaged her PR firm, his demands just became her reality...and he desires so much more than just some attention in the boardroom.

My Review...

I didn't know what to expect from this novella but I was pleasantly surprise.  There was lots of chemistry, passion and orgasms.

tumblr_lwume7PkzJ1qmfpm2o1_500.gif (orgasm,alert,warning,flashing)

I'm not usually a fan of cheating as I always believe that if you are questioning things than it's time to communicate or break up versus cheating but I understand the doubt, desire and confusion to lead people to make certain decisions.

Kasie is prisoned in a world of what everyone wants her to be but not until she meets Robert does she realize that there is so much more to her and everything around her.  Robert opens up a part of her, the true passionate side of her which brings her alive but comfort and stability are plaguing her to believe that what she truly wants and feels is wrong.

Together Kasie and Robert have extremely explosive chemistry and just feel right together...you guessed it. I am so Team Robert, was there any doubt there.....No there wasn't.  I believe we should be in a relationship that makes us truly happy and not complacent.

Robert has that sexy powerful feel about him that oozes out of him yet he has a softer side that can see Kasie for who she really is.  Hmmm hard to fault Kasie when it's Robert that is getting her attention.

The ending. OH! BOY! another cliffhanger....what is going to happen with Dave and Robert? So many questions are left unanswered.  Can't wait for the next two installments.

Book Boyfriend Monday - Mason Langley

This week's book boyfriend is the sexy, food loving hottie...... Mason Langley  from Exquisite by Ella Frank

Why is Mason Book BF worthy?
1) He fights for what he wants and won't give up
2) If he can love a woman the way he loves his family than he is a keeper (which he does and more)
3) He can cook, put flower arrangements together and is sexy as sin

Here are some examples of why I love Mason:

"Sheath your claws, Lena," he said with what seemed like, great patiences. "I was telling my mother about the docotr who'd made such an impression, that I'd taken her to my kitchen and cooked for her."

"Actually, it is.  My dad once told me that one day I'd meet someone who drives me so crazy I want to strangle her and yet never would because I can't bear for her to be gone. Well, that's when I'll know I've met a woman worth keeping."

"I'm not going anywhere unless you make me or someone up there," he paused, raising his eys skyward, "makes me. But you can't go through life not letting anyone in on the off chance they'll die. Or you'll end up dying from a lonely heart."

Entice (Exquisite #2)

Coming to stores this February.....

What if everything you think you want isn't what you actually need...

Dr. Shelly Monroe is a woman who doesn't shy away from going after what she wants, but lately good sex has been hard to find. Shelly's become increasingly frustrated with the men she's been dating and the men she believes are the right choice.

Joshua Daniels is certainly not even close to the right choice. In fact he is exactly the wrong choice. For one thing, he's Mason Langley's best friend and best man. Second he's too much of a risky complication for Shelly to even consider.

Then why can't she stop thinking about how delicious he looked that first night she met him at Exquisite? Why is it so imperative to keep her lusty desire for a man that doesn’t meet her preconceived mold hidden from Lena and Mason, her trusted friends?

It seems unreasonable that being with a man completely wrong in theory could somehow feel so right. Then why is it the more she sees him the more enticing he becomes?

My Review...

First off Thank you Ella for the opportunity to be able to read an advanced copy for honest review. It was a honor and a privilege.

I have to admit that I loved Shelly in Exquisite but during the first part of this book I wanted to bitch slap her for being such a cow and not even realizing it.  I am all over a strong heroine like white on rice but with Shelly her stubbornness was getting to me. I get why she had up her walls but it's Josh, Shelly come on open up your damn eyes woman.

Now let's talk about Josh...... I'm sorry I just needed a moment to fan myself. Wow right out of the shoot Josh was sexy and hot I just knew that he would not disappoint.  Josh is down right dirty but a hopeless romantic, be still my beating heart Josh. *swoon* Tumblr_lt0fa4yvuu1r4fsjeo1_500_large

Together Shelly and Josh are raw and explosive.  I love that Josh brought out Georgia in the man-eater.  Josh's sweet side and the fact that he would not settle for anything than the whole package made my heart swell.  I adored him sweet and sexy. Yummy!

I loved this story it was different than exquisite yet it still had the charm with Mason and Lena.  Often series can carry on with the same feel throughout the series but with Entice it had a different feel which I appreciated.  And I can't wait for Rachel's story.  Through out Entice Ella is drawing you in to Rachel and Cole's world. I am hook line and sinker for this series. It is fantastic.
