Extreme Love - review

Extreme Love (Love to the Extreme #1)

by
New body. New clothes. New men.

Used to the average Joe, Caitlyn Moore is overwhelmed when the supremely masculine Dante Jones walks into her life and expresses an interest in her. At first she pushes him away, refusing to encourage the attention of a cage fighter. Then she learns Dante has a love ‘em and leave ‘em reputation. What better way to fine-tune her non-existent flirting skills than with a male who won’t stick around? But Dante has no intention of being a practice dummy; he’s out for all or nothing. Now Caitlyn must accept Dante—violent career and all—or let him go.

Dante “Inferno” Jones has one goal: win the Welterweight Championship. At a time when focus is crucial, the last thing he needs is a distraction. Yet Caitlyn Moore becomes a challenge he can’t resist. When the light-hearted pursuit shifts to a battle to win her heart, his focus is shot. Faced with losing the biggest match of his career, Dante must decide if his extreme life also has room for Extreme Love.

My Review...

Uh- Huh! Another MMA love story!

Let's start with Dante 'Inferno' Jones
Who is instantly attracted to curvy insecure with a buttload of issues Caitlyn (Cait)
Dante is the Love 'em and leave 'em type of guy until he meets Caitlyn.  He is also one who will go after what he wants until he wins. This philosophy is what makes him such a great fighter but with Caitlyn it seems to be harder than then fighting.

I loved having Caitlyn voluptuous but her insecurities got tiresome but I know in reality they plague you forever (as I too have a bit more to love *wink wink*) but in the story it was the major hang up which got a bit frustrating for me when I wanted her to open up her eyes and appreciate the beauty of her new reality and trust in the love that we all deserve.

What helps Caitlyn to start to see the truth is seeing the beauty and confidence in others

The woman folder her white towel on the bench then sat. "Do you mind?" She gestured to her body. "I can wrap in a towel if you do."  "No, please, I envy your confidence." "Why be ashamed? It's the body I have."

With this new insight she tries to accept her self and starts to let down her walls to see what Dante is really wanting.
"I'm still just a man, Caitlyn. A man insanely attracted to you. And I would really like to take you out."

Once she tries to fit into Dante's world, the ugly outside or AKA other peoples insecurities and nastiness slap her back into submission but with this Dante's eyes are open to what it is like in a world that he new nothing of. A world of struggles, low self-esteem and prejudice.

In the end Caitlyn becomes an inspiration to others as well as her self.
"This is where the real work begins! You're tired. You want to give up. Never give up. Don't let your mind stop you."

Expect it takes her awhile to take this philosophy and add to other parts of her life, not just weight loss and health.

Let me tell you Dante has patience of a saint and a fighter's spirit but he saw something worth fighting for and never backed down.

4 Curvy loving thumbs up!
