My Review...

After reading the Play by Play series by Jaci Burton I became a fan as I love that series.  Seeing this series and reading the synopsis I was stoked to read this  but....after reading it I wasn't wowed with it.

I liked it. I thought it was cute but throughout the whole book with the transitions, characters, relationship even with the angst and drama I found it too sweet and clean cut.  Everything seemed just too perfect even with the drama.  I don't know why it didn't jive with me but it didn't . However after saying that I still did like it just didn't love it but I will be continuing to read this series because this book did a good job setting up the other characters for the series in the future.

In Hope Flames, Emma had her secrets and was starting over but scared to love.

Luke once burned chose to be a player versus ever loving again.

A chance meeting through 'Boomer' and fate ties these two together.

The idea of the book was good and I did like Emma and Luke and their HEA.  I wanted to love them but sadly that was not the case.  Maybe it was my mood. Who knows?  In summary, I still love Jaci, and I will continue with this series because I have a sneaky suspicion that this series is just going to get better.

2.5 to 3 Sugary Sweet Thumbs up!
