Trevor Shay has it all—a successful football and baseball career, and any woman he wants. But when he finds out his college mentor’s daughter is in trouble, he drops everything to come to her aid.

Haven Briscoe has finally landed a dream job as a sportscaster for a major network. But she hasn’t been able to move past the recent death of her beloved father, and it’s affecting her career. A plum assignment following the daily life of sports superstar Trevor Shay might be just the inspiration she needs…

Trevor will do anything to spark life back into Haven, including letting her into every aspect of his world. The chemistry between them flames higher than one of Trevor’s home runs and faster than his dashes to the end zone. But as they grow closer, Haven stumbles onto Trevor’s closely guarded secret, one he’s hidden his entire life. And despite his protests, now it’s Haven’s turn to put everything on hold to help Trevor. Will he let her in and trust her with a secret that could blow his professional and personal world apart?

My Straddling the Line Review ...

I'm such a sucker for sport romances. I have no idea why, but for some reason I love them.  I find with some sport romances are over the top but Jaci Burton knows how to write a great sports book with just the right amount of steam, passion, sports, angst, emotion and love.

Trevor Shay can not only play baseball, he is also a professional football player as well.  Now with that talent and schedule who would even have the time to date?  The answer to that is Trevor Shay would.

Haven a sportscaster and the daughter of someone near and dear to Trevor is having a hard time so, Trevor tries to make it right by having Haven interview him and get to know him.  What he didn't anticipate was the intimacy of that getting to know topic.  The chemistry between the two is undeniable, so why fight it.

Even though Trevor lets Haven in he's also holding a secret inside that is very personal and could destroy many things.   The closer they get the more that secret can tear them apart.  But what Trevor doesn't know is the truth can only empower him.  With the help of Haven he lets go of his demons and makes room in his heart and life for Haven.

I so adore this series and when I am in the mood for a great sweet sports romance then this is my series go to.  I like the fact that this series is multi-faceted when it comes to sports and relationships yet with a great amount of chemistry and balance of angst and love.  The stories are humble and sweet with enough passion and electricity to keep them exciting.
