Burnin' Up Memphis (Firehouse 69 #1)

She’s the one fire he may not be able to control.

When a roof collapse kills his best friend and his girlfriend clears out his apartment and leaves, firefighter John Cooper knows he shouldn’t sit alone in his empty apartment. But when he accepts an invitation to Club LaForge, his feet get colder with every step he takes inside.

The sights, sounds and smells of the BDSM club make him sweat, and not because he’s turned off. Yet he can’t bring himself to admit—to himself, or to his luscious guide, Moira—that this lifestyle might just be what he needs.

An experienced BDSM trainer, Moira senses that Coop is not only a Dom in the making, but exactly what she’s been looking for. A man to be her lover and her Dom. The only problem is, Coop isn’t looking for anything complicated.

Moira’s willing to start slow and easy, but even once there’s enough trust to bring Coop into her world—and to her Dom—she’s still worried he’ll look for the nearest exit.

Warning: Do you smell smoke? Don’t worry, it’s just a hot and sexy firefighter getting down and dirty. Contains BDSM scenes, ropes, floggers, some spanking, some sharing, and some five-alarm sex.

My Burnin' Up Memphis Review  . . .

After a devastating loss for Cooper he's feeling uncertain and lost.  Not knowing what to do he finally relents and goes to a club that his fellow firefighters are raving about.

Once there he's instantly intrigued with the scene and wants to explore more.

"You're right.  I don't understand, but I can see what Anton gets out of it."

Moira needs to be dominated but is also a switch.  Because she doesn't always get what she wants out of relationships she turns herself to Anton, to full fill her baser needs.  After meeting Coop she hopes that he's the one that can give her both even though he's very new to this world.

Coop is a man's man but is not sure on what to do if he wants to keep Moira.  Reluctantly he submits to training so he can be all he needs to be for Moira.

This quick read was pretty good but the evolution of this couple happened way to fast. Coop went from lost soul to dominant and in love in a blink of an eye.  The chemistry was good and I liked the idea of the story I just wanted a bit more which I think I could have gotten if this was a full fledge novel.

3 Zero to dominant thumbs up!

Hotter With A Pole (Firehouse 69 #2)

When your heart is stuck in the wrong gear, a quick fix isn't going to cut it.

Firehouse 69, Book 2

When Noah buys a classic '68 Camaro from a fellow firefighter's widow, he hopes it will ease some of the grief crushing his heart. But the grinding noise under the car's hood sends him straight to a mechanic. Something about the burly, imposing Hoyt sparks Noah's interest, and it's not just Hoyt's ice-blue eyes and bad-boy biker looks. It's the mutual interest they have--Club LaForge.

After losing his partner to cancer a year ago, Hoyt never thought he'd feel the same kind of rush with another man. But his reaction to Noah throbs deep in his body like the rumble of his Harley.

LaForge seems like the perfect place to meet and work off some sorrow, to feel alive again. But the flood of desire quickly gets hot enough to melt their emotional barriers into unexpected connections.

Connections Hoyt isn't sure he's ready for...especially since history has a scary way of repeating itself.

Warning: Get your motor running for a Harley-riding hunk of muscle who doesn't give a damn about the rules of being a Dom, and a firefighter who can take the heat. Buy a case of your favorite coolant. You're gonna need it.

My Hotter With a Pole Review . . .

After Club La Forge and all the sexual possibilities Noah realizes that he wants more.  But what he truly needs is something he never thought he would ever want.  The moment Noah meets Hoyt his world shifts.

Hoyt once loved the BDSM lifestyle but after he lost his partner he stepped away.  Now meeting Noah for the first time in a long time he wants more that what is his current predicament of life.

Noah doesn't want to fully immerse himself back into that world but he wants to have some BDSM qualities to his new blossoming relationship with Noah.  Although he's a bit skeptical since Noah is basically straight.  Or is he?

This is the second novella of this series and could be read as a standalone.  After reading Burin' Up Memphis I had a feeling that this book was also going to be quick paced, but for some reason it was easier to follow and understand the rapidness of these two.

Noah and Hoyt quickly spark up the sheets with their dynamic relationship but also find their hearts being filled at the same time.  They play hard and fell hard.  I'm always a fan of straight to gay and Delilah Devlin delivered on this novella.  Yes its quick paced but still enjoyable.  There's a nice balance of steam and heart but you usually can't go wrong with a sexy fireman.  Now add some spanking and heat and voila you get quite the fire.

3.5 It is hotter with a pole thumbs up!
