UNDAUNTED (Knights in Black Leather #1)
Knights in Black Leather #2
Releasing February 23rd, 2016
The second novel in Ronnie Douglas’ sexy Southern Wolves motorcycle club series—reminiscent of Kristen Ashley and Jay Crownover—tells the story of an aspiring fashion designer and a biker who discover a desire that knows no limits.
When the daughter of one of the Southern Wolves gets a flat in the middle of a thunderstorm, there’s only one thing to do—strip down to her underwear and get a little muddy. But when Alamo, the sexy biker shows up to rescue Ellen yet again, things are bound to get a whole lot dirtier.
Between the trouble he left behind and club rules, Alamo knows he needs to stay clear of Ellen. He’s not looking for a woman or complications—even when that woman is everything a man could want. Unfortunately, Ellen isn’t playing by anyone’s rules but her own these days, and a Southern woman who’s been raised by Wolves is awfully hard to deny.
So when they give in to their raging attraction, both get much more than they bargained for.

My Unruly Review ...
Sometimes I think I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to reading series. I didn't love Undaunted but for some reason I signed up to read this book. I guess I was invested enough to continue. Now that I read it I'm glad I carried forward, as I was pleasantly surprised with this story. Maybe it was because I had no expectations or maybe because it was a good story.
Alamo is now in Tennessee after losing his temper in North Carolina. The last thing he wanted to do was leave his sister but it was smarter to leave to a new chapter of the Southern Wolves MC then bring trouble to his family.
Ellen by default is a wolf but will never wear the colors being a female. For years she's been best friends with Killer and Dash and from time to time those friendships had benefits especially where Dash is concerned. For years Dash and Ellen had a semi-relationship but Dash always wanted to keep it a secret. Finally having enough she walks away from Dash right on to the back of Alamo's bike.
Instantly they both have an attraction but Dash has thrown in causing a kink into Ellen's freedom and the potential of Alamo and Ellen. This story is happening during the same time frame as Aubrey's and Killer's story, which helped ease some of my frustration from Undaunted. As it gave a bit more insight to why Killer made some of the decisions he did.
Now that Ellen's becoming her own woman she starts to move forward by facing her past. First with singing, then repairing her friendships with Killer and Dash and keeping them in the 'friends only' category, but she also is determined to make Alamo see her.
Alamo's tied up with Dash's protection on Ellen, which isn't making it easy for him as Ellen is everything he wants in a girl. A woman who understands this life and excepts it as well as thrives within in it. Alamo's also the biggest, sweetest gentlemen within the MC world while looking dark & delicious, and being able to step in whatever capacity is needed within his MC.
"There's nowhere I'd rather be, Ellen . . . Now go sing. Your voice is like to calm even the most savage beast."
Now that Ellen is completely free of Dash they can finally move forward only to have Alamo's past come rear its ugly head.
This was a very decent story. Sure it is still on the MC lite scale but it was definitely better than Undaunted. My hope is each story will get better and better as the series continues. I have a feeling that sparks are going to fly between Dash and Zoe (Alamo's sister), so my fingers are crossed that their story is next. The reason I didn't fall in love with this book is that everything is just too clean and smooth. Sure there is hardship and angst but with the MC genre I expect more rawness and grit which was lacking in this story.
3. 5 MC Lite Thumbs up!
