About QUIET MAN:

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Ashley comes a new story in her Dream Man series…

Charlotte “Lottie” McAlister is in the zone. She’s ready to take on the next chapter of her life, and since she doesn’t have a man, she’ll do what she’s done all along. She’ll take care of business on her own. Even if that business means starting a family.

The problem is, Lottie has a stalker. The really bad kind. The kind that means she needs a bodyguard.

Enter Mo Morrison.

Enormous. Scary.

Quiet.

Mo doesn’t say much, and Lottie’s used to getting attention. And she wants Mo’s attention. Badly.

But Mo has a strict rule. If he’s guarding your body, that’s all he’s doing with it.

However, the longer Mo has to keep Lottie safe, the faster he falls for the beautiful blonde who has it so together, she might even be able to tackle the demons he’s got in his head that just won’t die.

But in the end, Lottie and Mo don’t only have to find some way to keep hands off until the threat is over, they have to negotiate the overprotective Hot Bunch, Lottie’s crazy stepdad, Tex, Mo’s crew of frat-boy commandos, not to mention his nutty sisters.

All before Lottie finally gets her Dream Man.

And Mo can lay claim to his Dream Girl.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

About KRISTEN ASHLEY:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorize and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning. Nothing’s changed. Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched). Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

My Quiet Man Review . . .

OMG!!!! Kristen Ashley has been one of my favorite authors from the beginning of my reading journey, and sure there have been some hiccups along the way but that has never lessened my love for K.A and her uber alpha men.   Reading Quiet Man I was transported to old school K.A and what a ride it was.  Which is the with a kick ass heroine and a not a big talker alpha but together they're magic.

A Quiet Man is considered part of the Dream Man series but its also a crossover from the Rock Chicks series as well.  PLUS!!!!! It's a jumping point for a spin off series called the Dream Series and I CAN NOT WAIT for Dream Maker to come out!!

Charlotte “Lottie” McAlister is Jet's sister and we meet her in the Rock Chick series.  Where Mo Morrison works for Hawk whom is from the Dream Man series.  Lottie is ready to have a kid but also wants a man.  However, the man situation isn't working out so she's read to join motherhood on her own.

Smithie knows Lottie will find a man, so he wants her to wait and not rush into any decisions.  At the same time Lottie is getting stalked and threatened which causes Smithie to bring in Hawk and the boys.  What he didn't expect was to hand deliver Lottie everything while he tries to save her.

Mo has his own demons, so protecting Lottie is playing with his mind for many different reasons.  Mo is also a man with little words, but when he does talk.  Oh, boy!  His words have a huge impact.

I loved the banter between these two.  It was great, witty and heartfelt.

"Sadly, I can't Mick Jagger this sitch and make a baby when I'm seventy."
Both Lottie and Mo make mistakes but THANKFULLY they act as adults and COMMUNICATE, which decreases the angst and makes the reading journey so much better.   There connection was amazing.  After reading this, I want to jump back into the world of the Rock Chick and the Dream Man, because I miss all those characters, but it was great to get a peak into some, especially the hot bunch.     Plus, I also can't wait for Dream Maker with Mag and Evie's book.

Loved this book, it warmed my heart. Lottie and Mo were perfect for one another.   Can't wait for more from this amazing author.

4.5 Not quiet when it's important thumbs up!!!

thumbs upthumbs upthumbs upthumbs up  . 5

Excerpt:
He picked up the paper, turned it over and read it again.
It stated, plainly, he was fucked.
More alarmingly, it stated, chillingly, Mac was in danger.
This was a problem more than it was already a colossal motherfucking problem.
Any other one of his girls, he’d pick up the phone to Lee Nightingale, the man behind Nightingale Investigations, the commander of the baddest badass motherfuckers in Denver. He’d hand over this letter and he’d get this problem solved.
But Mac was Charlotte McAlister, Jet McAlister Chavez’s little sister. Jet was married to Eddie Chavez. Eddie was Lee’s best friend. And Jet worked for Indy, Lee’s wife, the Queen of the Rock Chicks, and thus Jet Chavez was a bona fide Rock Chick.
Mac might not be a card-carrying member of the Rock Chicks, mostly because she had a job where she worked nights, the time those crazy bitches instigated the most fucked-up of their varying antics. Though they weren’t averse to mornings and afternoons. It was just that the stun-gunnings, kidnappings and the like mostly took place at night, and Mac was busy then.
She was still a Rock Chick, or at least she was by association.
Considering the Rock Chick link and the blood ties to Jet, if Lee knew Mac was in danger, he’d tear the town apart to put a stop to it.
And Eddie…
Now Eddie, Smithie didn’t even want to think about it. The man was a cop. The shit Lee and his boys did with flair and a flagrant disregard to just about anything, Eddie could not do.
But Eddie wouldn’t blink at doing whatever he had to do to make his sister-in-law safe.
And the man had mouths to feed.
So yeah.
This was a problem even more than it already was a colossal motherfucking problem because Smithie couldn’t call Lee.
Which meant Smithie had to find a different set of badasses to deal with it.
His first call would normally be the Chaos Motorcycle Club. Mac wasn’t one of theirs, neither was Smithie, but they had ties to Lee, they could keep a secret, and they didn’t dick around when it came to women and their safety.
But they’d just come out of a war, and like any war, that had been some serious fucked-up shit.
They needed a breather.
Lee, and Chaos, also had ties to…
“Well, hell,” Smithie muttered, the words on the letter blurring, the sick feeling in the back of his throat easing.
He dropped the letter and picked up his cell.
If you couldn’t call a badass…
Then it was far from second best to call a commando.

Drummer Girl by Ginger Scott
Mature YA/New Adult Contemporary Romance
Release day: July 30, 2019

Drummer Girl
A mature YA/New Adult contemporary rock star romance by Ginger Scott

Arizona Wakefield was a beat without a melody. Living a half-breathing life in a half-finished neighborhood with parents who always wore half-hearted smiles, the high school senior only had one thing that let her color outside her family’s perfectly drawn lines—her drums.

Jesse Barringer was a song without a chorus. The son of a washed-up rock star who’s also one hell of a deadbeat dad, he was given two things from his father—musical genius and a genetic link to the bipolar disorder that drives him mad.

One night in a garage at the end of a cul-de-sac in the middle of a bankrupt California neighborhood, Jesse’s melody found Arizona’s rhythm. An angry boy with storm-colored eyes found a blonde angel in Doc Martens with missing lines in her own story. Where her rhythm stopped, his words took over, and together, they wrote one hell of a story.

** Drummer Girl is a mature YA/New Adult romance that touches on mental health, drug abuse and includes mature sexual situations.

“That’s the first time I’ve played that song. I like it. We should add it to our set,” he says, pulling the strap from around his neck before setting his guitar at the foot of his bed. “What do you think?”
He twists so our knees are touching and our shoulders are squared.
“I think you’re a showoff, one. And two…I totally think we should close with that at our gig. People love retro shit like that at shows.” I don’t really know what people like at shows because the only kinds I’ve ever been to have been for high school marching nerds or jazz geeks. I probably don’t even deserve to utter the word gig yet. I’m a gig virgin. I do know movies, though, and if this life was a movie, our band would close with that.
Jesse’s eyes linger on my face, making me warm.
“Okay then,” he says, finally. “And I’m not a showoff.”
His lips pucker with his smirk and mine follow suit until a laugh seeps through.
“You so are!” I shove at him playfully, and his hands wrap around my wrists and shove back gently but don’t let go.
“No, I’m a great example. That’s a totally different thing,” he says, pulling me toward his chest until my fingertips meet the hard surface of his pecs under a well-worn white T-shirt.
“I’m pretty sure it’s just a synonym for showoff how you’re using it. In fact, now you’re just being arrogant!” I gripe back through laughter, a wry smile playing at one side of my mouth. Jesse remains quiet, though. His head leaned a tick to the right. My lips vibrate with this sudden change in atmosphere, and without even helping myself, I bite my bottom lip. There is just enough light in the room to see these small things we’re doing, these…signs. At least, I’m giving a sign. I hope I’m not imagining Jesse’s.
At least three full breaths pass between us without words. I count mine, and I guess how many he takes because really, I can’t see much beyond the dark centers of his eyes and the top curl of his lip. I wait for him. Even though I’m dizzy and happy and excited, I don’t want to be eager and desperate. I wait for him to move closer…to do something.
I wish for him.

“Would it be okay if I kissed you now?”

My Drummer Girl  Review . . .

First Off, I flippin' adore Ginger Scott and all her amazing heartfelt stories.  And again she's delivers us another beautiful story with Drummer Girl.

Arizona (Ari) Wakefield is living her life by surviving, then one day a house gets sold and moving truck arrives and her life changes completely.  Jesse Barringer is a beautiful disaster and the minute these two meet everything changes.   Ari starts to wake up while at the same time Jess is a fuse waiting to blow.

This story tackles mental health in a very beautiful way.  It's honest, raw and real.  My only complaint is with Ari's personal journey I thought her realization point was too quick and her turn around after was even faster.  This made her part at times a bit unbelievable but Jesse . . . his part was written so well.

~ This is a slow, careful gift from a boy I find dizzyingly perfect despite all of his crazy.  He doesn't pretend to be something he isn't.  He's a genius, he's a wreck-he's my first. ~

I adored all the characters in this book and I thought the story was very well done.   There were so many elements in this story which made it so real and down to earth.  I loved the evolution of Ari and Jesse and the transformation of both of their families.  You felt each character's emotions and were sad when the story ends, as you just want more of Jesse and Ari.

Thank you Ginger Scott for yet another amazing story.  Your gift is amazing.

4 Real and honest thumbs up!
