J. A. Huss likes to write new adult books that make you think and keep you guessing. Her favorite genre to read is space opera, but since practically no one reads those books, she writes new adult science fiction, paranormal romance, contemporary romance, urban fantasy, and books about Junco (who refuses to be saddled with a label).

My Review...

After Rook makes an impulsive decision in Tragic she is forced to live with the consequences of those actions in Manic.

In this new chapter of her new life, Rook starts to realize who she is and what she wants.

But her lack of relationship knowledge and the world of erotic photography has her a bit confused when it comes to what she wants or needs. 

For Ronin he knows what he wants but his past is rearing it's ugly head.

But with her new contract comes Spencer and Ford who also happen to be part of Ronin's shady past.

His past could help and potentially hurt their already fragile relationship.

For Rook her past as also come to haunt her.

When Rook needs help Ronin, Spencer and Ford are there for her when it counts.

I love the vulnerability of Rook but her naivety sometimes drives me crazy.  For Ronin to love is not easy but Rook is too quick to reciprocate the words without her feelings matching them. I so hope in Panic that her feelings and words start to meet up.

I am so team Ronin as he is a sweetheart even though he is torn with his loyalty to Clare.  However, there seems to be something that draws me into Ford.  I am intrigued by him but I'm still rooting for Rook and Ronin to find their HEA.

So this Saturday I thought we needed some more M/M loving and what a better way then to feature L.A. Witt one of the queens of the M/M genre.

My Review...

Nick and Spencer are in a tough place trying to find balance with their personal lives and professional lives.

Something has to give.  Will it be their relationship? Or their careers?

For Spencer he doesn't care what Nick does for a living. All he wants is for Nick to be happy and get some kink along the way.

For Nick his job starts to become a burden on him physically and mentally but the fear of being dependent on someone else scares him. But he finds that love is worth it and chooses happiness in the end.

I am a big fan of this series and once again I was not left disappointed with this novella.

My Review...

A typical friends to lovers to BDSM playmates. Well maybe not so typical :)

Nothing like a leather convention to bring true love to the surface.

For Chase and Derek who have always been friends and have had personal desires for one another but is risking their friendship worth the risk?

Chasing is mending a broken heart while Derek is looking for the perfect master.

During this convention Chase and Derek learn many things.

But the most important is that they learned that they are a better fit as master and sub then as friends.  With this revelation comes love that is so much stronger because of their previous friendship and respect for one another.

My Review...

"Live so that you may live."

Soul mates aren't just about 'the one' but sometimes soul mates are about finding people that you need at different times in your life.

For Jess she has two soul mates.

Gabe the ever present and ever loving soul mate that will be for eternity.

She meets Landon. At first I was angry because I didn't want that connection because I am team Gabe all the way but Landon is who she needed to get that a piece of her back.  He kicked in her in the ass and intervened when she needed it the most.  He was the healing piece of the puzzle that helped her back to Gabe.

 "Never be afraid to feel. It's the only way to really live. If you don't feel, there is no way you can love, heal, or forgive. You'll never move forward or get past this. You have to forgive, Jess."

"You'll never be fucking ready if you keep waiting."

Thanks to Landon Jess is able to start to move on and see what Gabe had for her, unconditional love.

"I will wait for you. When you are ready to come home, I'll be there. I will always wait for you."

This was a heartfelt and beautiful story about love being enough and finding happiness out of misery. At times the love parts were a bit to gooey for my but hey Jess is 19 years old so it makes sense.

My heart broke Landon but his story is coming and then hopefully he finds the one who loves him with all her being which he deserves.

"I will never be that guy for you. I want someone who needs me to breathe, to survive, and to love. For you, that's Gabe,"

My Review...

So another dominate rich man who just happens to be gorgeous and broken. (My type of fella!)

What..... this seems like a new concept!  Even though it is a similar theme to others I still am a sucker for this type of story line.

I liked how both Hudson and Alayna were broken.  They needed each other to heal since they didn't have the support of their families.

Wow Hudson's Mom. What a bitch!!! I just wanted take that heartless bitch to the ground.

Even though evil aka Sofie, Celia, Brian, etc....you get my drift a lot of people did NOT want this relationship to work they fought through it by trying a novel concept of being honest with one another.

What????? That works.  (I know my sarcastic ways are coming through but I actually liked that there was honesty which is what helped them and the angst was from other things versus the whole book being about one big miscommunication.)

I can't wait to find out more with Hudson and Alayna in Found in You coming October 2013.  You know it won't be easy for them but I am routing for them the whole way through.

“Tell me what you want,” I demand, pulling her two wrists into one of my hands. I lift them above her head so I can feel her body on mine without our hands in the way.

 “I want…” She pauses to swallow, and I don’t know why I need her to ask for it…but I do. I need to know that this is what she wants. That I’m the one she wants. “I want to have fun, to stop worrying and feeling guilty all the time just for being alive.”

That wasn’t exactly the response I was hoping for, but beggars can’t be choosers. “And how should we go about making that happen? Specifically,” I clarify, letting my lips rest just a few inches from hers. I can feel her breath on my mouth. “Tell me what I can do to help.”

 Her little pink tongue swipes her lips, coming so close to my own I can practically taste her, and I nearly come undone right then and there. “You should kiss me.” I move in closer, but only a tiny bit.

“And why would I do that?” Her voice is so low I have to lean in to hear her clearly. “Because you want to. Because I’ve been waiting for a very long time. Because you can.” Her words fill me with heat and need. I want so much more than to kiss her. But I’m not going to get greedy here and risk losing her all over again.  “Someone’s overthinking things,” she whispers against my lips, and I twitch with anticipation and nostalgia. It’s the exact phrase I used to use on her when she’d go off in her head. She remembers. Dammit, I’m losing control. I tighten my grip on her wrists and run my nose down her cheek. I place a soft kiss on her earlobe and feel her body sag forward as her legs buckle beneath her. Using my other arm to hold her around the waist and keep her vertical, I whisper,

“Here? Is this where you want me to kiss you?” Her breath comes in quick gasps, and she shakes her head no. So I let my lips skim the side of her face and holy hell, she even tastes like peaches. My tongue sweeps inside, desperate for hers. She’s tentative at first. Barely skimming her tongue against mine with sweet little licks. But I press harder and she matches me. Layla lets her teeth graze my lower lip and I groan. I release her wrists and she wraps her arms around my neck, raking her hands into my hair.
