One Moment

by Kristina McBrideThis was supposed to be the best summer of Maggie's life. Now it's the one she'd do anything to forget.
Maggie remembers hanging out at the gorge with her closest friends after a blowout party. She remembers climbing the trail with her perfect boyfriend, Joey. She remembers that last kiss, soft, lingering, and meant to reassure her. So why can't she remember what happened in the moment before they were supposed to dive? Why was she left cowering at the top of the cliff, while Joey floated in the water below-dead?
As Maggie's memories return in snatches, nothing seems to make sense. Why was Joey acting so strangely at the party? Where did he go after taking her home? And if Joey was keeping these secrets, what else was he hiding?
The latest novel from the author of "The Tension of Opposites," "One Moment" is a mysterious, searing look at how an instant can change everything you believe about the world around you.

My Review...
WOW! I have been waiting to read this book for awhile and I am sooooo happy that I got the chance. This book was fantastic! From the beginning to the end.
Right from the start you have no idea what happened and then you are along for the ride to find out all the details of that one moment in time that could change everything.
There are parts when the truth comes out that absolutely broke my heart and I even shed a few tears (but it is also that time of the month so that might have tipped me over the edge. LOL but I really think it was the actual story) In the story there are a few references to different songs to make the story more heartfelt make sure to look up those lyrics as it creates more emotions to what is going on at the time.
Maggie and her group of friends (Pete, Shannon, Tanna, Adam and Joey) it is so great to see a group of friends that are so tight or they were.... It is crazy what love can do and how we put the idea of things in front of actual reality.
I can not say too much about the characters as it could ruin the actual story but your heart will go out to Maggie and I was routing for her the whole way through and I was happy with the ending but I can not say too much as it will spoil it for you. However, I would love to see if there is a book 2 so we can find out what happens to the gang and what happens when Maggie talks to Joey's parents.
I loved this book and would re-read it again. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 thumbs up!
