Gypsy Brothers Series by Lili St. Germain Blog Tour - #bookreview, #giveaway & #excerpt

Gypsy Brothers Series

Seven Sons (Gypsy Brothers, #1)

Six Brothers (Gypsy Brothers, #2)

Five Miles (Gypsy Brothers, #3)

Four Score, Gypsy Brothers, #4)

Three Years (Gypsy Brothers, #5)

The story began with Seven Sons....

My father was most certainly NOT an innocent man. As the leader of the Gypsy Brothers MC, he was guilty of many things. But he died for a crime that he didn’t commit, framed by an enemy within who then stole his club and everything he had ever worked to protect.

Including my innocence.

When Dornan Ross framed my father, he set into motion a series of events that could never be undone. My father was murdered by Dornan Ross and his sons when I was fifteen years old.

Before my father died, Dornan and his sons stole my innocence, branded my skin and in doing so, ensured that their lives would be prematurely cut short. That they would suffer.

I’ve just turned twenty-one, and I’m out for blood. I'm out for revenge.

But I didn't expect to fall for Jase, the youngest brother in the club.

I didn't expect that he would turn my world upside down, yank my heart out of my chest and ride away into the sunset with it.

Now, I'm faced with an impossible choice - Jase, or avenging my fathers death?

My Seven Sons Review ...

Oh! Boy! From the start I didn't know what to think about this book from synopsis and first chapter but once I started to get into it I was sold on this dark tale.  A girl scorned is a woman seeking revenge.  Juliette has lost everything to Dorian Ross and his sons.  She lost her dad, her first love, her virginity, her dignity, her everything to these SOB's.  She will not be happy until she has her vengeance.

But what she didn't anticipate was to sleep with the enemy and come face to face with her first love.  As Juliette gets tangled and a deceitful web she almost loses focus until she gets what she came to do at any cost.

Holy Shit this is a bit darker than most but this is the world of the MC and unthinkable things.  So many twists and turns and I think we have a winner with this series.

4 Holy Shit Thumbs up!

Then there were Six Brothers.......

I have lied.

I have cheated.

I have given my body and my life to the man who destroyed my family and left me for dead.

I have killed, I have sinned, and worst of all, I have enjoyed the misery of others.

I have licked the salty tears of a father mourning his firstborn son, and nothing has ever tasted so sweet.

I have died, and I have been resurrected, a phoenix from the ashes.

I know I’m going to hell. I’ll burn in the fiery pits alongside Dornan and his sons for the things I’ve done, and for the things I’m about to do.

But I don’t care. It will be worth every lick of the devil's flames on my guilty flesh to destroy Dornan Ross.

One down. Six to go.

My Six Brothers Review ...
With one son gone and many more to go Juliette re-commits to her plan but she is on a slippery slope where her control is concerned.  With a new plan and more brothers to kill she goes all in with Dornan and his sons but things with Jase are becoming a potential problem for her.  Now that she has started this road she can't get off it now.

Lili Saint Germain knows how to get deep into the dark psyche of a psychopath when it comes to Dornan and the tenacity of revenge with Juliette

4 The Plot Thickens Thumbs up!

Five Miles.....

My father taught me the importance of an eye for an eye—a cardinal rule, ingrained in every club member.

A life for a life.

Seven lives in payment for an unimaginable list of sins.

People might wonder why I’m doing this. If this vengeance is borne from some noble cause, that I’m trying to prevent others from suffering at the hands of Dornan Ross and his sons.

But I’m no vigilante.

I’m doing it for me. I’m doing it because I want to. Because the look on Maxi and Chad’s faces when I killed them was a balm to my soul.

This is the fate they have earned. The penance for their crimes.

Two down, five to go.

Time to send some of these brothers off with a bang.

My Five Miles Review ...

Now two brothers gone but at this rate it will be years before she has her full revenge.  With this help of her savior of the past Elliot, she tries to take out the whole family at once so she can finally be free.

Even the best-laid plans can go awry. That's the thing about randomness and fate.  Freedom is a wish but not always granted and now her true identity is at risk with this faux pas.

With all this dark finally a bit a hope and light at the end in this dark world.

4 Oh Boy! Thumbs up!

Four Score, Gypsy Brothers, #4)

Four Score ....

Love and hate aren’t all that different.

Two sides of the same coin, the yin and the yang.

Once upon a time, Jason Ross loved me. And now that he's in danger of figuring out what I've done, I see the love and the hate warring within him.

I see the way he looks at me.

The way he wonders how I could do the things I’ve done.

I hear it in the way he begs me to stop, to leave his father and this life and never look back.

But there’s only one way I’m leaving LA.

My Four Score Review ...

With two more brothers dead and others in a coma, Juliette finally has a glimmer of hope with Jase but these two have shit luck when it comes to love and being together.  As Jase and Juliette grow closer their worst nightmare wakes up and secrets are revealed.

Once Juliette stared this journey she committed but to what result.  Her hatred is overtaking her.  Gah! I am so committed to this series.  I Love it!!!

4 I'm biting my nails thumbs up!

Three Years (Gypsy Brothers, #5)

And then there was Three Years.....

Every day for six years, I used to pray that I would find my way back to the boy I loved.

Until finally, one day, I did.

But that’s the funny thing about life. Nothing good ever lasts, not for me, anyway. You think you’re the one with the power, at least I did, but then I got careless. One tiny mistake, and now I am powerless to stop what comes next.

People think money equals power, but all the money in my bank account, the dirty notes laundered clean that my father left for me, are useless.

Money does not equal power. Power is held by the one with the knife in his hand, tracing shallow cuts into your skin.

Power is held by the one who owns you.

I had power once.

                                                    Now, I have nothing.

My Three Years Review ...

Damn I spoke too soon as the light is vanished and was submersed with even more darkness.

Oh boy, one thing Juliette is not, is someone who gives up. I have to give her props because now that Dornan know the truth she is living in the bowels of hell.  If you thought he was bad before than you are in for quite the surprise how evil Dornan really is.  But Juliette is a fighter to her last breathe.  Right when she is about to give up the unthinkable happens and she may be chained to Dornan forever.

As she still fights she quickly realizes that she has allies that she wasn't even aware of.  However, once we think things will go good Dornan is like 'Chucky' and never dies and more secrets are revealed causing new pains that may not be able to be forgiven.  Gah!  I am dying to find out what is going to happen with this series with two more novellas to come.

Excerpt from Seven Sons

I make a strangled sobbing sound, but nothing much comes out of my throat except a dried-up, pathetic scream.
Dornan pulls me from the shower, wraps me in a towel and walks me to his bed, where he sits me down.
“Do you understand how much I care about you now?” Dornan asks with a throat full of gravel. His hands are all over me, feverish, and I don’t fight back when he presses me down onto the bed and unbuckles his belt.
I just lay there, in shock, his lips at my throat and his hands roving every inch of my shell-shocked body.
“Do you know why I did that?” he breathes in my ear as he grips my hips and slides inside me.
My breath hitches in my throat as he begins to thrust into me, and I feel a single tear roll down the side of my face.
“Because I’m yours,” I whisper into the darkness.

Genre: Steamy romance (Motorcycle club romance)
Cover by Kim Killion
Publish Date: June 27, 2014

~ Synopsis ~

USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR!

Alexx Andria delivers a motorcycle club romance between two very bad, yet sexy men and a woman with enough curves to satisfy them both.

My name is Zoe Delacourte. I thought I was going to build my future on the backs of Jax Traeger and Hunter Ericksen -- bad boys from the wrong side of the tracks, running the notorious motorcycle club, the Kings of Asphalt -- in my mind, the story had practically written itself. I was so naive. Little did I know they were going to change everything I ever knew about myself.
Jax and Hunter. I can't even say their names without trembling.
They don't see a fat girl or a girl who might be pretty if only she'd lose some weight. No, from the moment I walked into their club, they saw a hot, sexy woman with curves for days -- and they couldn't wait to get their hands on me.
Some people call them bad men. They see the rides and the rap sheets and they slap a label on them. I don't care what they've done -- all I care about is what they're going to do to me next.
But loving them is dangerous. In fact, loving them might just get me killed.
*The following MC romance is approximately 41,000 words featuring a strong central love story, danger, and the rough, seedy world dominated by two bad boys and their curvy woman.

Damaged And Just A Little Dirty — My Favorite Hero
By Alexx Andria

Confession: I like bad boys.
Wait, I should clarify. I like bad boys in fiction. In real life, not so much. But because I write about Alpha heroes who are just a bit damaged, my secret preference shouldn’t come as a huge surprise. Perhaps it comes from my youth and that wild, insatiable fever that comes with teenage hormones. As a teen, I was irresistibly drawn to the misunderstood boy with a bad streak and I paid for that fascination. Let me tell you a story.
A true story!
We’d been friends for years — since the third grade, actually — and suddenly, as these things happen, I realized he was pretty damn cute and he must’ve felt the same about me for he asked me to prom. I did the usual prom-prep and when he was an hour late to pick me up, I feared the worst — being stood up. What I didn’t realize then was that being stood up might’ve been a blessing in disguise.
This was before cell phones (I know, I’m dating myself, right?) so I called his house and his mom said he’d just walked in the door and he was getting ready. While I’d been primping for hours, he’d been at the river! I forgave him because a). he was so cute!; b). I was dumb. Oh man, was I dumb. To make a really long story short, I ended up running through the forest in a formal dress, dragged by my bad boy as he attempted to avoid being arrested. And, well, you guessed it, we didn’t make it. My date was arrested, and my mom (horror of all horrors!) had to come pick me up. To say it was mortifying, is an understatement. I should’ve drop-kicked my bad boy after that boneheaded stunt but I hung onto him for a while longer. Long enough to make a few more bad decisions together until I finally came to my senses and left him in the past.
So bad boys in real life suck. They are bad boyfriends, worse husbands and generally, a pain in the ass because they don’t hold jobs and make a permanent dent in your sofa with their ass.
But bad boys in fiction? Smart, sexy, hot, virile, and only redeemable by that special woman made just for them. Cue the dreamy sigh.
In Kings of Asphalt, there are two foster brothers running the motorcycle club, The Kings. They’re everything you might assume of a motorcycle club leader — rough around the edges, playing fast and loose with the rules, and sexy as hell. Oh, and of course, damaged to their core and they know it. They’re in desperate need of that special woman to make them whole again but, of course, they can’t see that at first.
I love putting my characters through hell because the make-up sex is always so much hotter! But it isn’t all about the sex, right? No, there’s actually a fair amount of humor in this story and while that wasn’t planned, one of my beta readers said it was the element that helped Kings of Asphalt really stand out among the rest of motorcycle club romances out there. You tell me, what do you think?
Now, it’s time for your confession: Do you have a bad boy in your past? Did you keep him or kick him to the curb? Share!

EXCERPT

I wanted his lips more than I wanted my next breath, but how long before those lips were taken away? How long before my heart would get ripped from my chest a second time? I almost didn’t survive the first — I knew I wouldn’t live through the second.
With a jerk I pulled back and slapped him across the face. “How dare you!”
Ax swore and hit the steering wheel. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry I shouldn’t have assumed—”
“Assumed, what?” I yelled. “That I wouldn’t be completely pissed off? That I wouldn’t be shattered!” My voice wavered. “Totally wrecked forever because I’ve been mourning the loss of my best friend for five damn years only to find out he’s very much alive and suddenly wanting to play the white knight?” My body started to shake. “I died that day!”
Ax’s face twisted with pain. “Amy, I had to protect you… at all costs I had to protect you.”
“Your protection broke my heart,” I whispered.
He sighed, running his hands through his hair before answering. “Ames, sometimes what’s the best for us — is exactly what hurts the most.”
I refused to look at him. Instead I looked down, down at my bare legs, at the outfit I’d almost paraded about in before a crowd of horrible drunk men in order to make money. I wasn’t the same girl he’d left. I was damaged in the worst way. Because by saving me, Ax had taken away all purpose from my life. When I thought he’d died, my only goal was to live because he hadn’t.
And now? Now the shame of my situation was crippling.
Foster care kid.
Unwanted.
Unloved.
And completely and utterly alone. Abandoned, even by my best friend.
“Five years, Ax. And now you come for me…” I licked my lips. “I’m not vain enough to think it’s because you can’t find anyone to warm your bed at night, and I’m not confident enough to think it’s because you missed me so much you just couldn’t stay away. What do you want?”
“You.”
“Try again.”
He swore and looked away. “It doesn’t have to be like this. Had I known you were in this position—”
“What?” I snorted then bit down on my lip to keep from crying. “You would have driven here faster? You would have rescued me sooner? Pitied me more? Take your pick, Ax. Now tell me the truth. Don’t start off this new-found relationship with a lie.”
He was silent for a while then whispered, “You have something I need.”
“A brain?”
Ax’s smile nearly took my breath away “Besides that.”
I pressed my lips together and looked out the window at my dark and cramped apartment. “I have exactly one stuffed animal from my old life, the one you gave me when I was six. I have a Polaroid picture, a toothbrush, enough clothes to get me through a week and a half of living, a hairbrush, two elastic hair bands — Do you see where I’m going with this?” I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. “I have nothing you need, let alone want. Believe me.“
Ax studied my face, his expression softened as he said, barely above a whisper, “Let me be the one who decides that.”
I looked away.
“Don’t do that, Ames,” he murmured. “Don’t shut me out.”
“Five years, Ax.” I looked straight ahead. “Five years where my tears were the only thing keeping me company at night. I think you lost the right to tell me what to do.”
He swore. The car door opened. I gasped as humid air filtered in. “What are you doing?”
“Getting out of the car.” He shrugged and gestured at the building. “Going into your apartment and packing you up. We’ll stay at a hotel tonight.”
I snorted. “My apartment not good enough for you?”
“No.” He pulled a gun from his jeans, thumbed off the safety, and held it out in front of him. “I just hate getting woken up in the middle of the night with gunshots ringing out, don’t you?”
“Yeah.” I gulped, my eyes still trained on the gun.
“Guns don’t hurt people… people do,” Ax said softly. “Remember that.”
“I do.” I met his gaze. “Because in the end, it wasn’t the gun that broke my heart — it was you.”
