Blurb:
I’m not supposed to be here.

Death has come for me more than once, and each time it’s been a boy who’s
stood between me and my final breath.

I called him Christopher when he saved me as a child. When he came into my
life again, only months ago, I knew him as Wes. Just as he did the time
before, he disappeared the moment he made sure I was out of harm’s way; as
if I didn’t need any more saving.

This time, though, death left me with a reminder of how powerful it is. I
know it meant to strip me of my spirit again, but it failed.

Even so, I know I need Wes to survive. Our souls are woven together
somehow, our every breath in sync. I feel it, even though everyone says I
shouldn’t.

The world thinks he’s missing.
His loved ones don’t want to believe he’s dead.
Only I know just how special he is.

I’m going to find him and bring him home, where he belongs. Together,
we’ll face impossible—we’ll rewrite our ending.

And when the bad guys come calling, we will always win.

About the Author:

Ginger Scott is an Amazon-bestselling and Goodreads Choice Award-nominated author of several young and new adult romances, including Waiting on the Sidelines, Going Long, Blindness, How We Deal With Gravity, This Is Falling, You and Everything After, The Girl I Was Before, Wild Reckless, Wicked Restless, In Your Dreams, The Hard Count, Hold My Breath, and A Boy Like You.

A sucker for a good romance, Ginger’s other passion is sports, and she often blends the two in her stories. (She’s also a sucker for a hot quarterback, catcher, pitcher, point guard…the list goes on.) Ginger has been writing and editing for newspapers, magazines and blogs for more than 15 years. She has told the stories of Olympians, politicians, actors, scientists, cowboys, criminals and towns. For more on her and her work, visit her website at http://www.littlemisswrite.com.

When she's not writing, the odds are high that she's somewhere near a baseball diamond, either watching her son field pop flies like Bryce Harper or cheering on her favorite baseball team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ginger lives in Arizona and is married to her college sweetheart whom she met at ASU (fork 'em, Devils).

My A Girl Like Me Review . . .

Gah! I LOVE Ginger Scott and her amazing gift to write amazing heartfelt stories.   This is a duet and needs to be read as a duet, especially since we were left with a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of A Boy Like You.   A Girl Like Me starts off exactly where we left it in book 1.   Here Joss was left with a bit of hope while she started rebuilding her life with her new challenges.

After tragedy, you can either become a victim or a survivor.  For the stubborn Joss, she became a survivor and is now out for some answers.  The more answers she gets the more questions it brings.  The only thing that will make sense is for her heart to come home.

"It broke my heart.  It broke it,"  I wince.  "But so help me, Wesley Stokes . . . you will not break my spirit."
As Wes, slowly integrates himself back into the fold, her life is still in flux with new challenges.  Unfortunately all of these challenges are intermingled and only Wes and Joss can figure their way out of the chaos.

What did I love most about this duet?  Hmmmm, I have to say that the heroine is kick ass awesome.  Thankfully no insecure heroine here.  Also who couldn't love a real life hero.  I loved the whole story of Wes and Joss and even more when we get more of their back story in A Girl Like Me.  This book had it all:  hope, heartbreak, challenges, love, friendship and heroes.   It's super sweet and I adored it.  I can't wait for more from this awesome author.

4 Superhero loving thumbs up!
