Monster, an all-new dark romance from Marni Mann is LIVE!

“Because I came from you, does that mean I’m capable of killing? That I’ll be addicted to blood? That I’ll get off on torturing people?”
The kid had questions.
I didn’t blame him.
He’d only heard one side, and it wasn’t mine.
“Why did you hate my mother?”
Now, that was a story worth telling.
But, to do that, I had to bring the kid back to the very beginning.
When the killing and the blood and the torture had all started.
When I was truly happy.
When I was first called a Monster.
Monster is a follow-up to Animal. Animal must be read first.
*WARNING*
Monster is an extremely dark novel. There are strong sexual themes, drug usage, physical and sexual abuse, and torture that could trigger and/or cause emotional suffering.

About Marni:

Best-selling Author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Mann was fantasizing about penning her first novel. She crafts sexy, titillating stories that weave together her love of darkness, mystery, passion, and human emotion. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband and their two dogs who subsequently have been characters in her books. When she’s not nose deep in her laptop working on her next novel, she’s scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling to new locations, and devouring fabulous books.

My Monster  Review . . .

I have to admit this was a bit hard to read after I read back to back psychological thrillers.  I was needing something light instead of dark so unfortunately that effected my reading experience a bit but that's on me not this book.
After Animal we are left with a huge cliffhanger so it has felt like forever since then, and finally we get to find out more about Shank.   In Monster, we finally get to find out the why's from the cliffhanger and how it all happened.  I have to admit I like the way it all unfolded in this book.   The way the story was set up is how the suspense was kept plus it was also how we got all the details of whys and hows from Animal.

I have to admit, Shank is one extremely effed up individuals.  Which truthfully we already knew from Animal but here we get to truly see the ugly and dark that is Shank.   As we were finding out more from Shank, at the same time we are getting more from two other characters Arin and Huck.  In the end all the character are tied together and we aren't left with a cliffhanger per se but we are left with some more questions.

I adored Huck, and I had an idea of whom he was and how he tied into the whole story.   But from the beginning I didn't completely trust Arin and even though I was right not to trust her I am left with more questions now.  Hopefully there will be more to learn in this dark tangled web.

Marni Mann always amazes me with her abilities to tell stories.  Every time she shows me how brilliant she is.  Technically this is a romance book but I would say it is more of a psychological romance then contemporary romance.   If you like dark romances or psychological thrillers then this series is a good choice.  If you are looking for light and fluffy then this is not the book for you.

4 Not everyone is a monster thumbs up!
