My The Wright One Review . . .

After the ending of The Wright Love I was waiting for this one so I can find out all it all plays out for Sutton & David.    I was super excited for it and then . . . Sutton started to frustrate me.

"I was tired of feeling like a victim.  I was standing in the story of my life.  When would I start to feel like the strong heroine?  And not just the shell of the woman I had been? "

After reading that I was thinking if she stopped running then she could get out of victim mode.  But instead she kept running and running and running.

"I worry, I don't have a son to worry over, so I do it for you and Jason now.  If you're happy and Jason is happy, that's what matters."

From how Maverick's parents were in the first book to this was quite the turn around.

-She was still letting other people and fear dictate her own emotions.

"You want to take other's people's feelings into consideration about how you should feel and who you should date?"

And that she was, letting everyone else dictate her own emotions.  I didn't think she was ever going to listen to herself but eventually she figured it out.  Phew!

I was looking forward to Sutton & David's finale, but I have to admit that Sutton didn't win me over.   Her wishy washy ways frustrated me.  I know she has her own baggage to work through but instead of rooting for her as I should have, I got frustrated instead.    There were moments when she was strong but it sadly didn't outweigh the other parts for me.

This book let me a bit down at times,  but I still love the Wrights.  And now with the cousins it looks like there could be more from the Wrights now that they are all in Texas.

If it wasn't for Suttons back and forth I would have liked it a lot more.  There were many elements that I did like, which are the Wrights as a whole.  I adore that family.

I hate it when one of the main characters, which is normally the heroines lets me down because it changes the feel of the story for me.  However, its hard to overlook, when that's a character flaw that never wins me over, doesn't matter who the author is.

Even though I didn't love Sutton for a chunk of this book, I did like her and David together.  The ending was good.  And many others will love Sutton and this book will be amazing for them.  Its just a personal preference for me.

3 Finally the Wright Decision thumbs up!
