He’s well on his way when Haley finds out the one thing that could make her hate him. Nixon is left with two choices: walk away or break all his rules for her.

Part 1 of a new series
My Tequila High Review . . .
Since I've started reading I've always been a big fan of M. Leighton, so anytime I get the chance to read one of her books I jump at the opportunity. This time around it's the start of a new series. I'm not sure but I'm going to take a leap and assume that this new series is around the Brandt sisters.
In Tequila High it starts out with Haley Brandt finally coming home after a long absence from her family and the family farm. However, she makes a pit stop for drinks with her bestie, which involves Tequila and a dare. In comes Nixon Holt, who has dreamy eyes and loves the taste of tequila.
Normally Haley doesn't do one night stands but she's starting a new leaf. However, it back fires in her face when Nixon doesn't stay a one night stand.
The chemistry and banter is great between Haley and Nixon. It's true, I'm never a fan of the heroine always running and assuming when things get challenging. And I have to admit that there were some moments of Haley doing this, but thankfully this wasn't the whole angst and it didn't last long. And M. Leighton was able to deliver that quirk with ease and understanding instead of it becoming annoying which it has in many many other books from different authors.
I adored the relationship between all the sisters, and how each one has their own identity and struggles. Haley was a strong character and I adored Nixon and his tenacity when he wants something. And what he wanted was Haley. Nixon thought he could get what he wants without falling in love, but it doesn't always work out that way.
"The Holt Method. I warned you about it."
It was super sweet, without too much unnecessary angst. The Brandt's were great and I can't wait for more from this series.
3.5 Sweet Thumbs up!
