Ignoring him, I settled back on my stool and surveyed the room. We sat in Becca’s section, and what I saw wasn’t making me happy. I knew she was a good waitress, but she’d just started here and it showed. Not only had she fucked up several orders, she didn’t quite seem to get the rhythm of the bar. That wasn’t my problem, though.
My problem was that despite these fuckups, nobody seemed to mind. I had a nasty suspicion this was due to her perky tits, friendly smile, and tight little ass that seriously just needed a bite taken right out of it.
She really, really needed to get a new job—every man in the place wanted her. Including me. Especially me. I hated them. All of them. I shifted uncomfortably, because just like every time I shared a room with her, my pants had gotten tight.
Torture. Becca was just so fucking fine on every level, and not just her looks. There was something about the way she carried herself . . . I couldn’t put my finger on it. Like she was dancing through life to some song nobody else could hear. Never met another woman like her—she wasn’t just sexy, she was a survivor and I admired that.

My Silver Bastard Review...
I absolutely LOVE Joanna Wylde. So when given the chance to read something from her I jumped at the chance. With Silver Bastard it's the first book in a new series called the Silver Valley Series. It is also a spin off series from the Reapers Series. *Squee* Now do you see why I was so excited.
We met Puck in Reaper's Stand and now we get to find out what happens to him as he comes out of prison.
Well what happens is ... he gets his groove on with one spectacular lay who sparks something deep in him. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving.
Now faced with a slap of being back to reality and the chance of going back to jail. He doesn't know what to do, but saving Becca is the only way he sees fit no matter the consequence.
Now years later, Becca has being growing up and becoming her own woman. That doesn't mean that Puck hasn't been paying attention. Becca is torn to not wanting to be part of the MC world to also feeling the safest when she's around Puck and the Silver Bastards MC.
As soon as Becca is about to date and move forward Puck has taken all he can take and sweeps in and basically demands in his alpha MC way that they're going to be together. They have been circling each other long enough and he's going for gold with his new found decision.
" ... I'll kill for you. Die for you, too. But I will not fucking let you go, Becca, and I won't let you distance yourself, either. Get that straight."
Becca has had a bit of a shit life but one saving grace has always been Puck. So when she gets the chance to be with him again she jumps on it but is scared to go all in. However, Puck is basically deciding for the both of them. Ah! You just gotta love that foul mouthed, dirty talking, demanding Puck. *Sigh*
Puck and Becca have always had chemistry. That has never been in question but being in a real relationship is new for both of them. As the wade their way together they are both forced to deal with Becca's past, while Puck's also in the middle of dealing with an issue that is affecting the whole town.
Puck goes from having girls as nothing but sexual release to an old lady and he isn't shy about his intentions nor about his woman. Now he just has to fully convince Becca.
"You know I'm all about the thrust and repeat, but tonight I want to show you off. You're special, babe. Want them to see it for themselves."
I loved this series and can't wait to read the rest from this series. If you like MC books then give this a go. If you loved the Reaper series then this is a must read.
