My The Deathstalkers MC Books 1-3 Review . . .

My Corrupted Review . . .

Lately MC books have been a disappointment for me, so I was going into this book with low expectations. And I have to admit that I was very pleasantly surprised with this story.  This was also my first Alexis Noelle book and won't be my last.

Lucy's a young 14 year old girl on the run from a horrible upbringing.  Trying to save her life she tries to hide in the Deathstalkers MC warehouse knowing that her family wouldn't dare step foot on that property.

Jordan started as a young prospect with this MC but when he finds a young girl, he finds he needs to try and save her.  All Jordan wants to do is be patched in so when he gets dealt a punishment that he won't be patched in until Lucy turns 18.  This sentence is a double edged sword for him, because from the moment he laid eyes on Lucy he was drawn to her but has to wait till she's 18 before he can do anything about it.

Normally the MC doesn't like outsiders but they take a vote and choose to take Lucy in as family, however she's basically has to stay at the clubhouse and never leave until she's 18.  I thought for sure this 3 and a bit years was going to take too long to progress but it was done with ease.  The more Lucy grew up the more she became a part of the DeathStalkers MC, however that didn't mean that her past ever gave up looking for her.

While Lucy was growing up I thought 'oh no, not another MC lite type of story', but than BAM all of a sudden a world of dark arises to the surface and holy shit its dark and graphic.  With this new turn it was anyone's guess how it was going to pan out after that devastation.

Was this MC book dark and gritty enough for me?  Yes.  Did I like Lucy and Jordan together?  Absolutely.  I loved what the torture of her growing up did to both of them, as well as the growth of them individually.  I also loved how it all unfolded once she finally reached 18 years old.  Will I read more from this series?  Absolutely. I can NOT wait for Heinous.  Will I read more from Alexis Noelle?  After this book, you bet.

4 Corrupted Thumbs up!

My Heinous Review . . .

Corrupted was my first Alexis Noelle book and it had me pleasantly surprised making want to continue with this author and this series.  In Heinous we get Twisted's story.  After shit went down in Corrupted it elevated Twisted to the new VP of the Dealthstalkers MC.  He loves the brotherhood and he also lives with the philosophy of no repeats where it comes to woman.  Well, that was until one night with a firecracker named Nikki.
"You know, you could always ask before you just assume shit."
Nikki has a secret and wants just one night of freedom. So, when this bear of a man takes her on she plans on enjoying every moment of it.  What she didn't count on was the connection and spark that was between them causing one night to be so much more.

Nikki tried to fight it knowing she had a deadline but something about Twisted made her want more.  Knowing the MC she didn't believe there was any hope to her predicament so she kept it a secret.  We all know that never works but Nikki had to find that out the HARD way.

Twisted thinks Nikki may be a bit crazy but that is what has him all fired up about her and wanting more from her.  For the first time he wants a repeat with no end.  Now he just has to convince Nikki of this.

Nikki and Twisted work together.  Both of their crazies balance each other out.  However, when Nikki's secret comes to the forefront Twisted's crazy takes an elevation when there's his heart and future on the line.
" . . . Be whatever you need to, just don't break.  Don't give anyone the power to make you into someone you don't choose to be.  Then he wins, dead or not."
If only Nikki had trusted in what 'mine' meant she would have prevented so much heartache and trauma.  Once Nikki's issue made it to the surface it was a bit too similar to Lucy's tragedy but not as horrific.  However, it will still be needing lots of therapy to recover from.  Thankfully Twisted and the Deathstalkers are family and family stick together to help each other out.

I quite liked this story and I'm completely invested with this series. I can't wait Havoc for Tracie and Torch's story.   Lately a lot of MC stories are coming across pretty light and fluffy but this series so far has a nice balance of gritty & raw with love and contentment.

3.5 Sometimes two crazies makes one whole thumbs up!

My Chaos Review . . .

Finally we get Tracie & Torch's story.   We first meet Tracie in Corrupted where she takes Lucy under wing.  Here she was portrayed as such a strong character, but in Chaos we got to see the cracks of the veneer and we find out she's puts on a big front.

Torch has always known that Tracie is his 'one' but was biding his time until she was ready.   Now with a new threat to their MC, he ups his game to make Tracie his.

~ This is for the best, for both of us.~

At first Tracie was acting like a martyr and that never wins me over, but eventually she got over her own shit and let Torch in.   Even though the threats were getting worse Torch and Tracie were finding their way and everyone was finally getting their HEA until BAM total chaos and all hell broke loose and then broke my heart.

I totally did not see that coming and it's still playing havoc with my brain and heart a bit.   Now I have to continue with the series so I can help heal my heart with the rest of the Deathstalkers.

I do quite like this series but the thing that makes me not fall absolutely head over heels with it, is the quick pace and the too smooth transitions.   Were talking about the MC here, and to me it should be more raw and rough around the edges, instead of everything getting tied up in nice pretty bows.  Don't get me wrong rough stuff happened but it was just too neat and tidy on how it came across.  Which to me lessens the realness of the story for me.  But that also doesn't stop me from wanting to read more from this author and this series.

3 . 5 Heartbreaking Thumbs up!
