About the Author

I'm interested in the way literature can help us explore aspects of the human condition - particularly suffering, sex, love, faith, and redemption. My favourite stories are those in which a character takes a journey, either a physical journey to a new and exciting place, or a personal journey in which he or she learns something about himself/herself. 

I'm also interested in how aesthetic elements such as art, architecture, and music can be used to tell a story or to illuminate the traits of a particular character. In my writing, I combine all of these elements with the themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the transformative power of goodness.

My Review ...

 I knew Rachel had some layers for her larger than life personality and attitude.  I was surprised of why she is the way she is and pleased with her story and especially Kai.

You all know I am a big fan of friends to lovers.  And I don't mind the unrequited love story line but sometimes I want to beat my own head when it takes it to far that the characters come across more whiny with the 'why me or poor me' personnas.

Bottom line Rachel had a bad accident and heartbreak.  What helped her heal was the love and support of her friends and family especially Kai.  During her recovery Kai fell in love with her but was chicken shit and never said anything.  And the way Rachel was dealing with the aftermath was emotionless sex.  Well, now we have a perfect solution with Rachel needing to get her rocks off and Kai more than willing to help her out with that but once feelings get involved hearts get broken.  I loved this part of the story.

Where I wanted to throw my kindle was when they were being together but assuming, and assuming and assuming that the other does not feel the same.  Argh!  

Sometimes I just want more depth than the typical 'I like him but he doesn't like me back stuff'.  If there was more than this I would have LOVED this book but since there was unfortunately too much of this, it left me more frustrated than I wanted to be with book. ;( It had nothing to do with the writing as I am a big fan of Christina Lee but it has to do with preference of story lines is all.  For a lot who love this type of angst then they will absolutely love this book.  For the others who are tired of that type of story line than they might not love it as much. However, my favorite part of the book I have to say would be Kai even though he was chicken shit when it came to his emotions. 

All in all I do like this series and I do adore Christina Lee.  I know there are at least two more in this series and I will be definitely continuing with it.

There is such a poetic beauty to Joey W. Hill's writing.  This novella is part two out of four in this series.

For Madison she is diving into a world she knows she belongs in , but is terrified to what it all means.  To help Madison with her deepest desires Logan coaxes her into one of his training sessions to bring her out of her shell. 

With the help of Troy and Logan, Madison's tough exterior starts to crumble.  With Logan he wants so much more than just being a master but Madison is scared to believe this is a possibility with all her past shit decisions when it comes to the male species. Logan is determined and patient to show Madison all that is entailed with being a submissive and more. 

Logan with his strength, dominance and masculine beauty helps Madison but for her she doesn't trust herself, so how can she trust anyone else? We will find out how Madison and Logan explore each other and all other possibilities in the next two installments of this series. Can't flippin' wait.

My Review of the Series as a whole ...

The Fetish Box brings a whole world of drama.  After the gang deals with the aftermath attack in The Fetish Box, Mary's friend Lillie comes by to help manage the story.

This wasn't a typical porn shop, which mostly left Kim feeling dirty and a little sad; this was a celebration of sex and sensuality, a riot of freedom and fun and fantasy.

It should be an easy transition but once Lillie meets Max it is nearly combustable.  Lillie has a past and doesn't like to lay roots.  Max has his own demons and doesn't trust any woman so the easiest solution would be to stay away from each other.

Once Lillie and Max start exploring they can not stay away from each other no matter how much they try.

Gorgeous. Pain-in-the-ass. Woman. Max didn't know whether to spank her or toss her out of the bar. He was angry. He knew he was angry, nut he couldn't think past the lust that crashed over him. He was leaning towards spanking her because she was the most beautiful feckin' thing he'd ever seen in his life, ...

As Lillie tries to drum up more business for the box it also causes her past to catch up with her.  With her past she believes she is cursed. What she didn't expect was this new group of friends to have her back and love her no matter what. 

" I think it's a part of you. The thing about curses, my beautiful friend, is that they're often of our own making."

The chemistry between Lillie and Max is explosive and vulnerable.

The story and drama were good.  I read the parts consecutively which I think made the story better for me instead of having to wait for each installment.  The ending I wanted a bit more.  It all lead up to this big deal with her past and then you think there is going to be a big holy shit moment and then its just done and moved on.  All in all. Good quicky sexy drama filled read.

My Review ...

I was looking for something sweet and sport minded and this fit the bill perfectly for me at the time.   

Unrequited love can always be a bitch.  But sometimes it's not unrequited, but just not the right time. 

For Tamar she has always loved the always sweet Abe but her love is unrequited.  So, after 4 years she has put Abe behind her but she now finds herself in the same town where Abe plays football.  Coincidence? Hmmmm.

Abe should have everything he wants but deep down he knows something is missing.  Then Tamar comes back into his life and everything changes.

Once Abe figures out what he was missing, he does whatever it takes to get her back and keep her this time.  Which turns this book into a sweet story from friends to lovers.  

I do have a few guilty pleasure genres and story lines when reading and some of them are NA, Sports and Friends to lovers and Allison Parr has done a fantastic job at combining these three elements.  I have adored Abe in the other two books so I knew he would be hard not to love.  And he so did not disappoint.  

This was a very sweet story.  I quite adore this series and all the New York Leopards.  I can't wait to find out more from these boys.  Even though this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone.
