Come Away With Me (With Me In Seattle #1)
by Kristen Proby (Goodreads Author)
Being confronted on the beach by a sexy stranger wasn't part of Natalie Conner's plans for a peaceful morning taking photos. And why on earth would he think she's taking pictures of him, anyway? Who is he? One thing’s for sure, he’s hot, and incredibly romantic, feeding Natalie’s wounded soul.
Luke Williams just wants the world to give him a break, so seeing yet another camera aimed at his face has him ready to pounce on the beauty behind the lens. When he finds out she has no idea who he is, he's intrigued and more than a little tempted by her. Natalie has a body made for sex, a sassy mouth and Luke can’t get enough of her, but he’s not ready to tell her who he really his.
Natalie is a no nonsense girl who doesn’t do well with lies and secrets. What will happen to this new relationship when she discovers what Luke’s hiding?
So, I liked the idea of this book so much and had high hopes for it. There were great parts and there were flat parts with a little annoying parts as well.
I liked Luke and Natalie right away but I did not feel their connection. So all of a sudden they were head over heels in love with one another. It felt like it was out of the blue. The other thing that got on my nerves was their repeated proclamation of love got a bit nauseating for me. There are my negatives.
For the positives. I loved Jules and her family and I can not wait for the second book to find out what happens with her and Nate. Again I liked the idea of the book so once I got past the annoyances I did get lost in the story. Jules and Nat have some funny times together especially with baby Sophie. The typical miscommunication dramas are there causing havoc on Natalie and Luke's relationship but Love wins in the end. Even though I didn't feel the love connection with Luke and Natalie right away they did have good sexual chemistry. Also Luke is quite the charmer I wish when I got in a fight with my husband that I would get a few dozen flowers and all the sweet things he did. *sigh*
All in all with the strengths and weaknesses I would say 3.5 Thumbs up!
