What You Need (Need You #1)

by

New York Times bestseller Lorelei James introduces a new family for readers to fall in love with in the Need You series. The Lund name is synonymous with wealth and power in Minneapolis-St. Paul. But the four Lund siblings will each discover true love takes a course of its own…

As the CFO of Lund Industries, Brady Lund is the poster child for responsibility. But eighty hour work weeks leave him little time for a life outside his corner office. His brothers stage an intervention and drag him to a seedy night club...where he sees her, the buttoned up blonde from the secretarial pool who's starred in his fantasies for months.

Lennox Greene is a woman with a rebellious past—which she carefully conceals beneath her conservative clothes. She knows flirting with her sexy, but aloof boss during working hours is a bad idea. So when Brady shows up at her favorite dive bar, sans his usual snappy suit, and catches her cutting loose, she throws caution aside and dares him to do the same.

After sparks fly, Brady finds keeping his hands off Lennox during office hours is harder than expected. While she makes him feel alive for the first time in years, a part of him wonders if she’s just using him to get ahead. And Lennox must figure out if Brady wants her for the accomplished woman she is—or the bad girl she was.

My What You Need Review ...

My adoration for Lorelei James first started with her dirty talking cowboys, then it got cemented with her dominating men in the Mastered series.  This made me beyond curious how it was going to be for her and contemporary and I gotta tell you I was so pleasantly surprised with this cute little gem.

Brady Lund is the understated sexy hero where as Lennox Greene is the misunderstood heroine.  Brady has had a crush on the blonde bombshell for awhile but awkwardly doesn't know how to approach her.  Lennox has had a crush on the suit wearing sexy CFO but doesn't think anyone like him would ever notice a girl from the wrong side of the tracks.

As Brady finds an opening to meet and talk to Lennox her abrasive honest qualities come out in spades with this first encounter. For some those qualities may be off pudding but for Brady he adores them as she sparks something in himself that wants to be unleashed.

You knew going into this thing with Brady that he has the mind of a CFO, not a lothario.  Work with him. Be forgiving of his slipups.  And bear in mind you're not perfect either. (What great advice, if only more couples thought like this)

Brady is all work and no play so his family has an intervention to bring out the wild in Brady.  Lennox used to be all wild but wants the structure and safety of her new career self.  What they both didn't realize is that they don't need to change themselves as they both like each other as they are.

Lennox and Brady have their own issues that they need to battle while they try and trust in their new relationship.   These two are adorably sweet together and I fell with the whole Lund family and I can't wait for more from this family, especially if Selka and her merged sayings come into play.

3. 75 Truth or Dare thumbs up!
