My Wicked Lust Review . . . 

I'm a huge fan of Sawyer Bennett and I liked the first book enough to want to read this book.  I did like it but in the first part it was too predictable and had too much sex vs substance.   Don't get me wrong I knew what I was getting in to when Cain works at a sex club and Sloane wants to expose the sex club.  I knew there was going to be lots of erotic scenes and lots of sex.  I expected it.  And the scenes were steaming but I still wanted a bit more substance. 

Cain Bonham is head of security at the Wicked Horse.  His job is to protect and satisfy the clients.  Sloane Preston has a job to expose the sex club and Governor Hayes.  At first Sloane thinks that Cain is the way into the club, but the minute she let's loose with Cain she gets in deep causing her to feel all kinds of guilt.  

With her story becoming null and void due to lack of evidence her boss blackmails her find a story or her family's dirty laundry will be made public.  Since her and Cain only have a short time together left and unbeknownst to each other, both of them have an internal deadline of this relationship, which causes them to go balls to the walls when it comes to their sexcapades.

Cain and Sloane's chemistry is through the roof.  Once Cain's secret comes to light he makes Sloan listen to reason while he pours out his heart.  However, once Sloan's secret comes to the surface, Cain wouldn't give her the time of day and his inner prick came out.   Once all the drama came to the surface the substance part started to balance out in the second half.

One of my favorite parts of this series is Bridger and I can NOT wait for his story to come out but we will still have to wait as the next book will be Rand's.  Did I like Cain and Sloane together?  Yes.  Did I like Sloan as a heroine?  Yes, especially since I like stronger heroines and she fits the bill here.  She didn't whine.  She wasn't a martyr.  She owned up to her mistakes.  She let loose with her inner kink. And she had a big forgiving loyal heart.  Will I continue with this series?  Absolutely
