Where He Ends and I Begin (Home #3)
Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can’t have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, straight Jake.
After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn’t as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn’t how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart, it’s how he’ll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

My Where He Ends and I Begin Review . . .
Every time I get a chance the opportunity to either read or listen a Cardeno C book I jump at it. So far, everything that I have read or listened to of CC's work I have loved or adored. There's just something about CC's stories that you can't help but like.
Where He Ends and I Begin is focused on Jake Owens and Nate Richardson. We first get a glimpse of Jake and Nate in He Completes Me, but now we get to see how this super strong bond came about.
Both
Jake and Nate have been in love with each other but not knowing how the other felt. For Nate its because Jake has always been with woman and for Jake
because his hints went unnoticed. I loved the set up of this book.
Because basically these two have been joined at the hip since birth. So to help set up their story, we
get to see each POV on the same or similar scenes. This helps develop their strong
bond and how they get together as well as all the ways they missed the signs.
In between alternating POV's of the same scene we get glimpses of
what each of them have sacrificed for each other unbeknownst to one
another.
I absolutely loved this story. My only
downfall was sometimes Nate came across a bit pathetic at times but yet he was
still charming and sweet. I absolutely LOVE the narration of Alexander
Collins. Sometimes when I listen to the same narrator to close
together it starts to blurr but its been awhile that I've listened to
Alexander and it was a very plesant experience once again. He just has a
knack that you feel each characters emotions through his voice.
Nate and Jake have such a strong bond and I absolutely loved them together. I'm always a huge sucker for friends to lover stories and this one fit the bill for what I need in those types of stories. This is a story that I could definitely listen to or read again.
4 Best friends to lovers thumbs up!
Lauren
