ABOUT SWEET ESCAPE
When dessert goes wrong…
Hannah Lockhart travels the world and blogs about love. At least she used to before she promised to look after her sister’s bakery. Now, stuck in small town California for the next six months, Hannah is desperate to find romantic content for her blog or risk losing both readers and income.
Then a whipped cream disaster sends her into the arms of sexy, charming Evan Stone, heir to the Sugar Rush Candy Company.
Since childhood, Evan has been trying to overcome family concerns about his defective heart. Known as “The Heartbreaker,” he’s found an outlet with women. And when bad news strikes him, he seeks a diversion by offering to show Hannah the romance of the Bay Area.
Hannah jumps at the chance…as long as they keep things platonic. But soon Evan’s hot combination of charm, perfect kisses, and a serious sweet tooth melts her defenses.
As Hannah and Evan surrender to their delicious attraction, they are forced to confront the reality of her wanderlust and his heart condition. When love and hearts collide, can Hannah and Evan find their sweet ending?

My Sweet Escape Review . . .
After reading Sweet Dreams I was hooked enough to want to know more from these Stone boys. In Sweet Dreams the story is focused on Luke Stone & Polly Lockhart. In Sweet Escape this time around, the story is about Evan Stone, the under utilized little brother to Luke Stone and Hannah Lockhart who is Polly's flighty gypsy type sister.
Hannah doesn't like to be bound to one place, so doing a travel blog is right up her alley. With freedom comes consequences though. And one of those consequences was leaving Polly to take care of their dying mom and keep their mom's dream alive by running their mom's bakery.
Realizing that Polly needs to live her dreams, Hannah finally steps up to take over while Polly is away at school. Evan has always wanted big things but his condition has caused his whole family to be too cautious with him and his abilities. Now that Luke has taken a leave of absence to be with Polly, Evan finally has the opportunity to show what he's capable of.
One thing that is near and dear to the Stone family is fundraisers to support their late mother's cause. With this comes sacrifices. This time around its a bachelor auction. Hannah has noticed Evan but knows nothing can come out of it, but when she sees the auction she wants to free Evan from the clutches of his ex-girlfriend.
Evan and Hannah have instant chemistry but they also have big walls up to prevent any deep relationships. Which should make their new fling work out, but emotions are tricky bitches and get in the way sometimes.
Both Hannah's and Evan's reasons didn't completely sit right with me of why they were pushing each other away but I guess angst needed to happen.
This was another sweet story in this series but I was left wanting some elements a bit different. Did I like it? Yes, it was cute and I'm hooked enough to continue with the series but I didn't fall head over heels for it. It was super sweet minus the Hannah is a runner instead of dealing with her issues and Evan does the whole martyr thing. These are two themes that sadly don't win me over while I'm reading. But it had still had me on a journey of emotions through the story and it enveloped me enough to continue. Good news is that there are many more Stone brothers to learn about so I will gladly continue with this series. Hopefully the next book in the series will blow me out of the water.

"How much can you afford to pay for me?"
"If you include the change at the bottom of my purse," Hannah said, "maybe $8.56."

"Is that what we are?" he asked. " An escape?"
"I don't know exactly what we are." Hannah ran her hand over his chest. "It doesn't feel like an escape, though. It feels like a return."
Both Hannah's and Evan's reasons didn't completely sit right with me of why they were pushing each other away but I guess angst needed to happen.
"People get hurt all the time. Everywhere." "Yes, they do. But that doesn't stop us from living."
