Unseen Messages by Pepper Winters Blog Tour ~ #bookreview #survivorromance

From New York Times Bestseller Pepper Winters comes a timeless love story answering the question of what happens when everything is stripped away.
"There is a message for everything. From handwritten to verbal, seen and unseen. Messages exist all around us."
But what if you don't see?
What if you don't understand?
What if, by ignoring the message, your life is never the same again?
Estelle Evermore morphed from nobody to somebody overnight.
Galloway Oak put his past behind him and endeavored to make his fortune using his trade.
Two strangers.
One plane.
Multiple unseen messages.
From sky to island, they find neither fame nor skills can save them. Stripped from society and left alone to survive the elements, the very task of staying alive outweighs all other needs.
Until survival turns to desire.
And desire turns to danger.

My Unseen Messages Review . . .

It has been forever since I read a Pepper Winters book and this is very different than her other books.   It was different and I liked the concept of the book but it was LONG.  I know a lot had to be covered and there was the growth of the characters that needed to be established but it felt a bit too long at times.

There are messages all around us.  But how do we perceive this messages?  What's the lesson to learn?  What's the action to take?  What's the meaning behind the message?  Is there a right answer to any of these questions?  For Estelle and Galloway that's their journey to find out.

It's been a long time since I read a survivor romance and yes since they were the only two on the island makes the coupling a bit predictable obviously but it was still a sweet and sexy journey for these two.

Estelle starts her journey with a slew of messages that's at first she ignores and then ends up misinterpreting the message and lands herself and a big ol' mess.  Or was that fate's hand?  Galloway has his demons that he's trying to repent for.  Which causes him to feel unworthy and a conduit of bad luck.   Even before their world imploded around them, there was a strong connection between the two.  This connection helped to deepen the bond instead of feeling like they were a couple of convenience.

Now an instant family Estelle & Galloway have to take care of each other and the other two survivors since all they have is hope and each other.

When stranded on an island is that the time to not communicate?  I would think not but for these two they liked to keep their secrets, fears and thoughts to themselves which caused more trouble then they already had.  Surviving should be enough but instead they gave themselves unneeded angst.  And this angst is part of the reason the book got dragged out in length.   So there were so many elements that I loved in the books and the on the other hand there were as many elements I didn't like.   However, to go into details about them isn't fair because 1) it will give away spoilers and this is a book that needs to be read without spoilers and 2) It's a book that needs to be experienced but be prepared for the long journey.

3 Island of love, hope and family thumbs up!
