Newly broke girl
Alexandria Asher just wants to live a normal life. After her parents are sent
to prison on embezzlement charges, she enrolls in college under her mother’s
maiden name and tries her best to pretend she’s someone else.
Tristan Prescott is everything
Alex is trying to avoid. A seemingly egotistical, lazy, rich jerk, she dumps
her beer on his head when he comes on to her one night at a party. This only
spurs Tristan into action. He loves nothing more than a challenge. And the
beautiful Alex is exactly the type of challenge that intrigues him.
Despite her reluctance,
Alex finds herself quickly involved with Tristan. Underneath that playboy
exterior is a good guy, a sweet and sexy guy who she is undoubtedly falling
for. What they both don’t realize is the actions of Alex’s parents are the
reason for so much tragedy in Tristan’s family. And when Tristan discovers who
Alex and her family really is, can he forgive and forget?

My Slow Play Review ...
Oh! How the mighty fall. Tristan fought it the hardest and fell the most. At first Tristan was appalled at the idea of monogamy and relationships, especially after the shitty example his parents have given. But there is sometime about Alexandria that changes Tristan in a way he didn't think was possible.
"Fucking. That's all. That's all it can be. One and done. I'm sticking to the rules, Just like we promised." "Whatever. Keep living in denial."
Tristan fought it tooth and nail to the end. He's one of those characters that's a loveable asshole. You can't help but love him, even though he has many douche moments.
"If you like empty fucking with nameless, faceless girls, then go on with your bad self. I'm sure you'll have a great time fucking your way across campus, if you haven't done so already."
Alexandria is trying to have a fresh start, and staying away from rich boys, especially a player like Tristan, but Tristan quickly gets under her skin with his asshole ways.
"Words are meaningless when there are no actions backing them up. Prove to me that you feel that way. Don't just tell me, show me."
Defining relationships can be hard, especially for someone like Tristan, where he doesn't really know what its like to love and to be loved in return.
"I'm trying to take it slow." "Why?" He smiles and rises up on his elbows. "Because I think you might be worth it."
Being with Tristan isn't easy, but Alexandria makes it harder than it needed to be by keeping secrets. We all know what keeping secrets can do. However, these two just fit together. They balance each other out in the best way possible.
"He needed someone to ground him. Make him less of an asshole. I think you're doing a pretty good job of that."
It's always the ones who fight it the most who fall the furthest and poor Tristan falls victim to this.
I'm going against everything I stand for. I threw one and done out the window with ease. It's fucking insane.
Was this a sweet NA novel? Yes, and I have to admit that it ended up being my favorite of the three, even though I have a huge soft spot for Shep. This story was very cute and had a strong heroine, even though misguided at times, and a super loveable but hateable hero. This wasn't my favorite NA series but it definitely has great elements to it especially Shep and Tristan, which makes it sad to see this as the end of this series.
4 Loveable Asshole Thumbs up!
