My Review...
I liked the concept of this book and loved the beauty in the brokenness of it.
Rhane is an upcoming singer who is on top of the world with the potential to make it big time with her band and her unique voice and the love of her life and fellow band mate Dalton.
But Rhane is also unstable with a wicked temper. This temper causes a horrific accident which leaves Rhane more broken than you can imagine. She not only loses Dalton but she also loses part of her memory, her voice and her identity.
Since she has to start over she goes back to her old town with the help of her Uncle and a live in helper. With the help of these two she starts to get back on her feet and start over. With not realizing the truth of what happened to cause her to lose everything she starts to heal her foundation first with literally fixing up her house to actually make a home. With this comes safety and strength so she is able to finally see the truth.
As she is fixes up her home she meets the hot ginger contractor who also has his own demons. Ian is a ray of light in her dark. Together they face their demons and try to move forward but with Ian's past and Rhane's nasty temper it makes for a very bumpy ride.
Once Rhane starts to get her shit together and deal with the past and the present and the love of others she is able to move forward and starts to live again.
"Sometimes when I think of never seeing you again, I can't breathe." "It's alright, Sunshine. I'll be your oxygen,"
There is such a beauty in this book but it was hard to see past all Rhane's ugliness. I am a sucker for this type of book and I was routing for Dalton but it was not meant to be. Ian is a sweet soul with loads of light and love that makes my heart just a bit lighter for his love and support for Rhane.
4 Breathless Thumbs up!
