Out of Line Blog Tour - Review & Giveaway

Out of Line by Jen McLaughlin
September 2013
BOOK SUMMARY:

Desperate to break free…

I've spent my entire life under my father’s thumb, but now I'm finally free to make my own choices. When my roommate dragged me to my first college party, I met Finn Coram and my life turned inside out. He knows how to break the rules and is everything I never knew I wanted. A Marine by day and surfer by night, he pushes me away even as our attraction brings us closer. Now I am finally free to do whatever I want. I know what I want. I choose Finn.

Trying to play by the rules...

I always follow orders. My job, my life, depends on it. I thought this job would be easy, all the rules were made crystal clear, but when I met Carrie Wallington, everything got muddy. She's a rule I know I shouldn't break, but damn if I don’t inch closer to the breaking point each time I see her. I’m ready to step out of line. And even worse? I’m living a lie. They say the truth will set you free, but in my case…

The truth will cost me everything.

My Review...

This book was like reading a paper version of a mix of movies of Chasing Liberty and the First Daughter.

For Carrie she is super sheltered and finally is free to do what she wants. (Or so she thinks)
She randomly meets a boy named Finn who is a hot surfer/marine (or so she thinks)

Carrie and Finn are instant friends but while he is fighting his attraction to Carrie she is making his life difficult.
I might be inexperienced, but even I knew what a good kiss felt like. And. This. Was. It.
For Finn he thought this job was going to be easy but with Carrie it is anything but.

Finn can no longer fight the pull but he chooses not to tell the truth until it's too late.

For Carrie she feels betrayed once again in her life and pushes Finn away not trusting his true feelings.  However, she still doesn't want to let go and needs him in her life she just doesn't know the extent of it.
They try to have a symbiotic professional relationship but it proves to difficult.  Emotions are high and feelings are on the line but love is strong force.
"You're mine now. Don't forget it."
I was surprised about the amount of predictability from the beginning of the book but it still was sweet read but it was also left with a pseudo cliff hanger. Grrrrr! So much for predictibility :) which has now hooked me to find out what happens next.

3.5 Predictable Thumbs Up!
