Ex-Army Ranger, Brand Killien, has always been good.
A good friend, a good soldier, a good everything. .
The problem is, good hasn’t gotten him anything but a crushed heart.
So after licking his wounds, he decides to move on. And moving on doesn’t include being good anymore.
Bad sounds so much better.
Jaded and detached, Brand is determined to never open himself up to anyone again. It’s not worth the pain. Instead, he becomes closed, hardened, aloof.
But then he’s called back home for a family emergency… a family that he is estranged from. A family that he put out of his mind a long time ago for very good reasons…reasons that involve secrets and pain. Reasons he tried hard to forget.
But home is where the heart is, and it just might be where Brand finds his again.
Why? Because home is where Nora Greene is. A fiery, red-headed spitfire, Nora is a thing from his past. A beautiful, feisty thing. When Brand left, she was away at boarding school.
But she’s back now.
And she wants Brand, scars and all.

her ornery kids (there is a small chance that they get their orneriness from
their mother) and a small domestic zoo.

My Until We Fly Review ...
I fell in love with Brand in the last few books so I could NOT wait to get his story. And what a story it was.
Brand is always the savior no matter what. But with this story we get to find out why Brand is the way he is and holy hell did it break my heart that he had such duds for parents.
Nora Greene has her secrets but what she needs and wants to keep her safe is Brand Killien. She has always had a crush on him and she knows that with every fiber of her being that Brand WILL keep her safe no matter what.
With a freak accident her wish comes with Brand being the white knight but in return he gets hurt so Nora uses that opening to grab onto her goal.
One thing they both have in common are horrible doucebags for parents. Well her mom makes up for a bit in the end but really she could have made Nora's life so much easier if she told the truth instead of lies, lies lies.
Nora may go about catching Brand the wrong way but no matter what she is still successful. They both fight it for different reasons but the heart is a fickle fucker and it knows what it wants. Together Brand and Nora are forced to deal with their demons which only solidifies their relationship and causes sparks to fly.
This book had heart, Brand, family drama, hope, love and a heartbreaking yet beautiful epilogue.
4 Flying High Thumbs up!
