Breathe Into Me

by
STANDALONE, FULL-LENGTH NOVEL.
HEA ENDING, NO CLIFFHANGERS.

How did my life get so broken?  It’s a question Lacey St. James asks herself every day. Stuck raising her little brother in a trailer park while she works a dead end job at a grocery store, she has a stalker exboyfriend, a bad reputation, and no way out.

And then she meets Everett, whose presence changes her entire existence.

Everett is an outsider to her small community, in town for the summer housesitting one of the grand mansions off the Mississippi coast. When he saves her in a bar one night, she’s grateful but wary of his intentions. Lacey doesn’t trust most men in her life, but for reasons Lacey can't understand, Everett is completely captivated by her. He’s determined to show her that life can offer more than she’d ever hoped for, if only she believes in herself. As she works with him to free herself, Lacey desperately yearns to trust him, to move on and perhaps start fresh.

But what happens when she finds out that everything he’s told her about himself was a lie?

My Review...

You know it was your typical love story.  Trailer Park Girl meets rich boy.  Ok not so typical. Lacey St. James just wants to survive the terrible life she is forced to live in.  She does everything she can do survive.  Even settling for a douchebag if it means a one way ticket out of the trailer park.

Lacey quickly realizes that this ticket comes at a price she doesn't want to pay.  Enters .... vacationing friend of a highschool class mate, Everertt.

Lacey needs saving and Everett jumps at the chance, but Lacey has learned the hard way not to trust people especially boys.  But there is something different with Everett so she lets down her guard and lets him in her life only to quickly realize that maybe she shouldn't have.

Everett is running from his past and the last thing he wants is to lose his chance at a new beginning and new love.  However, the past ALWAYS rears its ugly head.

Once the past comes to the forefront both are faced with reality and to find out if love is enough.  I liked this book quite a lot. I don't love it but quite liked it.  It had great elements with douchebags, skanky bitches, steamy make outs, crazy shotgun toting woman, abuse, heartache, hope, love and second chances.   It was a sweet book where Lacey realizes that love can conquer all and that blood doesn't equal family.  Loyality and love equals family.

3 NA loving thumbs up
