Hope Ignites (Hope #2)

by

Logan McCormack likes his isolated life on the ranch, until a movie crew starts filming there. When actress Desiree Jenkins blows into his life, she wrecks it harder than the Oklahoma winds with her brutal honesty and soft touch. Des knows this is a temporary stay, but she loves the open freedom of the land, and for the first time in her life, Des feels like she might have found a place she can call home, with a man she might be falling in love with. But Logan’s heart is tougher than the soil beneath them—can she convince him that they belong together?

My Review...

I didn't love Hope Flames the first book but because I'm a fan of Jaci Burton when I got the chance to continue with this series I had to read it.  I'm glad I gave this series another shot.

Logan happens to be the rancher loner brother to Luke McCormack.  All he thinks he needs is his ranch.  All his other needs can be scratched with any woman in town.  What he is not looking for is any kind of relationship until he meets Desiree Jenkins.

Desiree may be from a different world AKA as Hollywood but she's a down to earth woman who fancies a nice hearty man who happens to be the ranch owner to the land they are filming on.

As they meet they both have wants and needs to be scratched but what they get is so much more.  Logan thinks he is only having a bit of fun since they are worlds apart and once burnt from his mom's bad choices he shies away from the possibility of a woman actually wanting to be part of his world and live on the ranch.

As Desiree gets under Logan's skin he realizes he wants more but his asshole ways come to the surface and he may lose something he didn't even know he needed more than the ranch.

This series and characters are definitely growing on me and I can't wait to find out the story behind Emma's sister Molly and Logan's friend Carter in Hope Burns (Pre-order today at Amazon )
