No Second Chances Blog Tour - Review

No Second Chances by Beverley Hollowed

Blurb

No nonsense mechanic, Ally Brody is a ‘one chance only’ kind of girl. When she catches her boyfriend, of two years, cheating with his assistant on a surprise visit to his office, there will be No Second Chances.

Determined not to fall for the wrong kind of man again, she comes face to face with Cole Thomas. He is gorgeous, charming, rich and everything Ally swore she should stay away from.

Cole wants Ally and he will stop at nothing until he gets what he desires. Bit by bit he breaks through her barriers and takes her on a journey of love and sexual awakenings. Will her obsessed ex, who refuses to accept it’s over, or a secret Cole himself is hiding, destroy their relationship before it even gets started?

Can Ally break her own rule and explore the possibility that Cole just might be the one worthy of a Second Chance?

My Review...

I quite liked this book. it's hard not to when you have a gorgeous, rich british male who loves strongly and takes place in one of my favorite cities in the world...Dublin.

I loved that Ally was a strong female lead but I wanted to throddle her with her obtuse stubbornness.  OMG I know you have been hurt and have daddy issues but did she have to take it to such an extreme. I think not but hey there not my issues so what do I know.

Now let's talk about Jason what an unhinged douchebag thank goodness she kicked his ass to the curb because then she wouldn't have met Cole.  Hmmmm yummy Cole but with an unfortunate secret that changes everything.

I loved the chemistry right away between Ally and Cole. You felt the pull between them and knew it could not be denied.  Love has a way of sneaking up on us when we least expect it but damnit ally and her stubbornness now we are left with another friggin' cliffhanger. I think authors might get pure pleasure of torturing the readers with those and then making us wait. Cruel, Cruel , Cruel.

Having said that I am completely hooked and can not wait to find out if Ally can get her head out of her ass and see that letting people in is ok and not everyone is like her father and Jason. I am soooo Team Cole.

There may have been some grammar errors but I was still able to get lost in the story.

3.5 to 4 thumbs up!
