Tyler & Stella Synopsis:

Stella Ramsey always says bad boys can’t break your heart. They don’t call, don’t cuddle and don’t send flowers—but what do you expect? For Stella, no strings means no regrets.

When the biggest story of her fledgling career as a music journalist nearly ruins her relationship with her best friend, Stella has one chance to redeem herself. Tyler Walsh could be that chance.

Stella promises the bassist for the rock band Tattoo Thief anything in exchange for behind-the-scenes access. But Tyler doesn’t want anything. He wants everything—and that’s more than Stella is prepared to give.

When Tyler’s explosive secret thrusts Stella into the media spotlight, she must choose between the selling the story and telling the truth—and exposing the truth about herself as well.

Tyler & Stella (Tattoo Thief #2) is a sizzling story of lust, lies, and sacrifice, revealing how much love can forgive.

My Review...

"We never get what we deserve. Only what we earn. And some grace, and some luck."

In Tattoo Thief I hated Stella and I thought for sure that I was not going to like her at all but by miracle I ended up liking her in the end.  However, Tyler I adored from the very beginning.

Stella has a lot to make up for from her terrible choice of backstabbing her best friend.

Tyler wants to protect is band and friends so he throws Stella a bone.  Tyler is a sweet, shy and a bit naive. Unfortunately this cruel world of rock and roll and life as a celebrity has left him with a bad taste in his mouth.

Even though Tyler can't really trust Stella there is something about her that makes Tyler want to help and protect her.

Stella knows what she did was wrong and wants to make it right.  As her life starts to have good and bad times she is loyal to her best friend and tattoo thief which ends up kicking her ass in the long run.

Tyler is so sweet and loving but has his own dangerous secrets.  For Stella she has to make another choice between right and wrong.  After her choice she gets all up in her own head and misses something very vital. Thankfully she gets her head out of her ass in time to make things right.

Stella has always preferred the bad boys because she believes her heart is safe but with Tyler she quickly realizes that he may look like a bad boy but he's a good boy at the core and steals her heart. To feel worthy and deserving Stella has to face her own demons to move forward with her friends, career and love life.

I think Tyler and Stella are great together and I'm really starting to adore this series and I can't wait for more from this Tattoo Thief series with Jayce and Violet. This book is not super heavy and part of the rock star world which I love.  This series has loads of potential.

My Review...

I think this series is so adorable. Even though they're a series each one can be read as a stand alone.

All Faith has left is her mother and her brother and his family and the last thing she wants to do is lose her brother to the same fate as their father.

So the last thing she will ever consider is a military or police man for a relationship she would be prefer a safe boring accountant because last time she took a chance she got burnt.

Conner who happens to be faith's brother best friend doesn't want to set roots out of fear that he will be like his father so he sleeps around instead.

As Faith finds out Kaleb is now swat she goes to let him have it but only to be side tracked by Mr. Big and Beefy - Conner.

Against Conner's norms he pursues Faith even with Kaleb's warning.

Faith tries to stay away but with Conner's charm and cocky ways its too hard to resist. But to be with Conner that means Faith has to conquer her fears.

Cindi Madsen knows how to right sweet wholesome love stories which are quick to read and if you are looking for a little escape without too much emotions but a HEA than this series is definitely worth a try.

My Review...

I know this is a fictional book but for me who doesn't know too much about the world this story had me compelled and drawn in.  The damage the war has done I can't even imagine. In this story the lack of support and understanding is appalling the politics behind the scenes is disturbing. What makes a man so broken there is no return.

Reza had his own demons before entering the war but he came back with so many more with the responsibility of so many others on his back. Drinking was his way of coping he tried to fight it but it became to much.

Emily had idealistic views of how she could help but the reality of what she was dealing with was so much more. As a shrink she wanted to help but she lacked the know how to truly understand.

Reza and Emily started by butting heads with opposing views but quickly realized they needed each other to make it through.

This is a deep touching story about so much loss, brokenness, death, love, hope and strength.

Jessica Scott has a true gift for military romances and all the emotional grit and baggage that comes with the war.

Reza's story I think so far is the heaviest story of this series and will leave you thinking about this for a long time.

Working It (Love by Design #1)

by
Emmy Clarke is out of her depth in New York City’s fashion world, but when she lands a job as an assistant at a modeling agency it seems like the perfect mix of business and pleasure. Working under the notorious Fiona Stone is a nightmare, but there’s one distinct perk: ogling the ridiculously hot male models who parade through the office—particularly rising star Ben Shaw.

Ben is everything Emmy’s not: exquisitely gorgeous, highly paid, and well-traveled. He’s also got more issues than Vogue. Emmy looks after Ben on photo shoots, but she refuses to become another one of his lusting groupies. Ben finds Emmy’s refreshingly real attitude to be surprisingly attractive.

Against a backdrop of the most fashionable cities in the world, casual flirting turns into an illicit affair, but when Ben’s twisted past is revealed, and the bitter Fiona catches wind of their relationship, their careers and hearts are threatened.

Note: This book is intended for mature audiences. It contains sexual encounters and graphic language, including a m/f/m encounter

My Review...

Here we have Emmy the meek country girl assistant to a Barracuda of a boss Fiona at a model agency in New York City.  Emmy is far away from her Southern roots but is trying to make this job work even though her boss is the biggest bitch ever.

Ben is the star at the model agency but doesn't really have a life besides modelling.  For the first time Ben wants more then what he has.   From the first moment he meets Emmy he is intrigued by her but has to keep that a secret from Fiona.

Fiona and Ben have quite the interesting relationship which is all kinds of disturbing and bad news.

As Ben & Emmy's friendship and flirtatious texts turn into the real deal emotions get brought to the surface for all parties.  I liked Ben and Emmy's relationship but for some reason Ben's dirty talk more annoyed me than stimulated me (don't be a hater a girl is allowed to her own opinion) but besides the dirty talk I liked the idea of them and how together Ben was so much more except for the ever present Fiona who kept ruining everything.

Gah! I wanted to beat the ever living tar out of Fiona. God. What. A. Bitch!!!!

I can't believe how that storyline all played out.  And a semi cliff hanger. Arghhhhh I need to know what happens with Ben and Ellie and Ben's past like yesterday. I know the wait is going to kill me.

Me Since You

Laura Wiess captures the visceral emotion of a girl’s journey from innocence to devastating loss and, ultimately, to a strange and unexpected kind of understanding—in this beautiful and painfully honest new novel.

Are there any answers when someone you love makes a tragic choice?

Before and After. That’s how Rowan Areno sees her life now. Before: she was a normal sixteen-year-old—a little too sheltered by her police officer father and her mother. After: everything she once believed has been destroyed in the wake of a shattering tragedy, and every day is there to be survived.

If she had known, on that Friday in March when she cut school, that a random stranger’s shocking crime would have traumatic consequences, she never would have left campus. If the crime video never went viral, maybe she could have saved her mother, grandmother — and herself — from the endless replay of heartache and grief.

Finding a soul mate in Eli, a witness to the crime who is haunted by losses of his own, Rowan begins to see there is no simple, straightforward path to healing wounded hearts. Can she learn to trust, hope, and believe in happiness again?

My Review...

Wow! What a depressingly sad yet profoundly beautiful raw story.

Here is a sixteen girl making sixteen year old mistakes but one choice changes everything.  When I read the synopsis I knew their was a life altering tragedy but I had NO clue the reality of what was going to happen.

When someone experiences loss it effects everyone differently.  Some shut people out, some close themselves off, some ignore it, some thrive on it and some can't deal at all.  In this story I felt it was so well portrayed of all the different possibilities dealing with grief, tragedy and loss.

This is a book I think all YA should read so they can understand the power of the negative side of social media and its effect on reality.

"What are people thinking when they post things like that? I mean, just because we can be cruel doesn't mean we should. Doesn't anyone think before they hit send anymore?"

4 Very emotional thumbs up!

My Review...

Our funny girl Tara Sivec is back with this hilarious story.

Kennedy, Paige and Lorelei are three friends who were all burnt by the opposite sex this created not only a friendship bond but a business where they can be strong females and not need any help from men.

Kennedy O'Brien is a tough as nails war veteran with two daughters and a ex-best friend and a dead beat ex-husband.  She lost her best friend when he tried to cover up the unthinkable for her ex-husband.

The O'Brien family are all nuts and I love them but they know Kennedy deserves better so they intervene and make her partner with their new Bounty Hunter.

Griffin has always wanted Kennedy but she was never his and then with a misunderstanding he lost his best friend.

Kennedy wants no help from anyone, especially a man, or a new bounty hunter but she definitely wants no help from her backstabbing ex-best friend Griffin.

With a bounty on the line a bet is made and shenanigans are started creating a world of LOL with Kennedy and Griffin.

I absolutely love Tara Sivec's writing and if you are looking for a fun LOL read then she is your go to girl.

This was a super fun read and I can't wait for more from this series with Paige and Lorelei.
