This book was such a pleasant surprise. As I first started reading it I thought ' Oh, Oh what have I gotten myself into' as it seemed I was just about to delve into a superficial book about twenty something vanity life in L.A then BAM I was hooked into the story.

Olivia 'Liv' Bloom moves to L.A to follow her dreams but quickly finds out that dreams don't always come true. With the help of two of her neighbors Blair and Parker they see the potential 'it' factor in her, So, she becomes their pet project after Liv embarrasses herself with a once in a life time meeting with her favorite rock star.

Berkeley Dalton loves music more than anything but doesn't like the life that comes with it. Even though he is the front man to the band Berkeley and the Brightside, he is still a very shy and private man. With a very public breakup his publicist tries to take a different spin to help the band's image.

With a random meeting with an awkward girl Berkeley becomes smitten but doesn't think he will see her again. But with fates intervention he does see her again so he takes the chance to get to know her know matter the attempt. But once he catches her, does he want to bring her into his world?

"I'm not captivating - far from it, actually. I'm just honest. And to be honest, I've never met anyone I liked more than you. And, for once in my life, I don't care who knows it."

With Olivia things are going great for her with a new job, great friends and a hilarious psychic mother. With Olivia she doesn't want to know what is in store with her in case it ruins her path of the future but fate always gets its way.

For Berkeley and Liv their is a strong connection, it's about who they are. But the celebrity lifestyle is hard to survive for anyone.

I thought this book was so adorable and I loved Liv and Berkeley let's be honest I loved all the characters expect Berkeley's exes really. This book was so much more than what I thought it was going to be. It was quirky, sweet and fun. However, even though I was happy with the ending I was left wanting more and felt there were some details left unanswered but then I went onto Goodreads and found that this is book #1 in a series so I can't wait to find out more. I have not a hot clue if this series will continue with Liv and Berkeley or it it will be another couple with Liv and Berkeley in the background. Doesn't really matter to me though because I will definitely being reading the next one in this series. (News Flash - after tweeting with Katie @KTDelahanty I found on that book two will definitely be more Liv and Berkeley - Yeah!)
