The Secret of Ella and Micha (The Secret #1)

by
Ella and Micha have been best friends since they were kids. But one tragic night shatters their friendship and their lives forever.

Ella used to be a rule-breaker with fiery attitude who wore her heart on her sleeve. But she left everything behind when she went to college and transformed into someone that follows the rules, keeps everything together, and hides all her problems. But now it's summer break and she has nowhere else to go but home.

Ella fears everything she worked so hard to bury might resurface, especially with Micha living right next door. If Micha tries to tempt the old her back, she knows that it will be hard to resist.

Micha is sexy, smart, confident, and can get under Ella’s skin like no one else can. He knows everything about her, including her darkest secrets. And he’s determined to bring his best friend, and the girl he loves back, no matter what it takes.

My Review...

I am a big fans of the idea of childhood best friends falling in love and this is the story.

Of course Ella and Micha have their baggage and live on the wrong side of the tracks where it is not rainbows and unicorns. But somehow these two find a way to find roses out of garbage.  Their love is sweet and consuming but can it last?

Oh Micha, he loves Ella so fiercely

Micha is such a sweetheart.  Their love is challenging but with the love and support of Micha it's hard to go wrong. Once he convinces Ella that she deserves to be happy and loved he will do everything to make her believe it.

Sweet story about love and second chances

The Forever of Ella and Micha (The Secret #2)

by
Ella and Micha have survived tragedy and heartbreak. When they're together, anything seems possible. But now they are thousands of miles apart, and managing their long distance relationship will put their love to the test.

Ella is back at school, trying hard not worry so much about her future. But with her father in and out of rehab, she's having a hard time making it through the days. All she wants is Micha by her side, but she refuses to let her problems get in the way of his dreams.

Micha spends his days touring the country with his band, but deep down he knows something is missing. Being away from Ella is harder than he thought it would be. He wants her closer to him-needs her with him. But he won't ask her to leave college, just to be with him.

The few moments they do spend together are intense and passionate, but it only makes it more difficult when they have to part. They know they want to be together, but is wanting something enough to get them to their forever?

My Review...

Finally we get their HEA ....nope.

For Ella she loves Micha more than anything but she is also very broken and dealing with her demons which cause her to push Micha away (again).

You can do nothing but love Micha throughout this whole series.  He's so sweet and supportive with his unconditional love for Ella.

However, Ella is a bit of a mess and her issues drag on a bit too much for me.

Instead of turning to each other the keep their secrets and feelings closed in so they don't hurt each other but in the end this ends up hurting them even more.

Finally Ella gets some resolution when her douchebag of a family gets their shit together which gives Ella a bit of freedom within herself.

Once Ella gets her head out of her ass she realizes that Micha is who she needs to survive.

The Temptation of Lila and Ethan (The Secret #3)

by
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Ella and Micha series comes a gripping story of passion, pain, and the courage to love . . .
THE TEMPTATION OF LILA AND ETHAN

On the surface, Lila Summers is flawless: good looks, expensive clothes, and a big, beautiful smile. But a dark past and even darker secrets are threatening to bubble over her perfect façade. She'll do anything to keep the emptiness inside hidden-which leads her into situations that always end badly. Whenever she hits bottom, there's only one person who's there to pull her out: Ethan Gregory.

Ethan set the rules a long time ago: he and Lila are just friends. He doesn't do relationships. Although his tattooed, bad boy exterior is a far cry from Lila's pretty princess image, Ethan can't deny they have a deeper connection than he's used to. If he's not careful, he could be in serious danger of becoming attached-and he's learned the hard way that attachment only leads to heartbreak.

When Lila falls farther than she ever has before, can Ethan continue to help as a friend? Or is he also getting close to falling . . . for her?

My Review...

Finally we get to find out more about the sidekicks of Ella and Micha.

Lila and Ethan start to give Ella and Micha a run for their money for dysfunctional lives causing them to hold emotions and secrets in, which only cause a world of trouble and miscommunications.

Lila and Ethan have a fine line in the sand keeping them as friends due to their pasts which causes them to make shitty ass decisions when it comes to the matter of their hearts or libido.

Ethan who tries to be an ass comes to the rescue of Lila when her world comes crumbling down which forces Ethan to get his shit in order.

After finally coming clean with their pasts they can finally move forward together.

My Review...

Here we start off where we left in in the Temptation of Ella and Micha with Ella not showing up to her own wedding.

Doesn't Ella not learn?  For the last three books she lies and keeps her feelings to herself which only causes issues.  From the beginning Ella is back to her old ways and hiding emotions and secrets.

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to minimize depression at all but reading it in a fiction book it got to be too much for me at times.

It is a drama filled emotional week for their journey to ever after.

However, in the end Micha (my heart) gets everything he deserves which is his heart....Ella.

My Review...

Oh! When will these kids learn to express their feelings in a healthy way called... communication. It's a novel concept.

Ethan and Lila's dilemmas are very similar to Micha and Ella's maybe that is why they are such good friends.

Lila and Ethan are experiencing their lives together but have fears of the future. Lila wants commitment and Ethan fears commitment due to his dysfunctional family but once he takes a good look at his life he realizes that Lila is his forever.

Sweet little story with Lila and Ethans forever and always.

3 Sweet Thumbs up!

My Tidbit...

I read the first book when it first came out before Forever picked the series up then I read the remaining part of the whole series in one setting and I wish I had read it with space in between as the themes and formulas seemed repetitive and monotonous.  I think if I read them separately I would have appreciated the series as a whole lot more.
