by

The New Billionaire Boys Club novel by the New York Times bestselling author.

The Billionaire Boys Club is a secret society. Six men of astonishing wealth. But there’s one thing money can’t buy. When it comes to love, success doesn't come so easily...

Jonathan Lyons. Playboy, billionaire, and adventurer, he lives life on the edge. When he hears that his mentor, Dr. Phineas DeWitt, had a secret journal that leads to a legendary artifact, Jonathan takes action. It stirs his blood, but it comes with a heady challenge: DeWitt's daughter Violet. She has what Jonathan needs. And she’s not giving it up it to the man who broke her heart.

Violet is Jonathan’s weakness—he’s still in love despite their volatile breakup a decade ago. But Violet’s memories have a sharper edge. She’s never forgiven him for abandoning her. Or so she thought. When Jonathan’s attentions turn seductive, she’s in danger of falling for him all over again. And she can’t help but wonder... does he really want her, or just what she's hiding?

My Romancing the Billionaire Review ...

I'm going to start with that I do adore this series very much but this one was sadly my least favorite in the series.  The whole series I have been foaming at the bit to find out what is behind Jonathan.

Finally we get to find out that Jonathan is closed off due to his pining for his first love.  Violet DeWitt is bitter from her past and when she is forced to come head to head with it it becomes even worse.  Okay, here is the thing for me.  It has nothing with the author or the writing but I am so sick and tired of heroines who are daft, stubborn and scared so they are constantly running away.   Due to this quality in the heroine it ruined the book experience for me.

I liked the premise of the story with first loves and second chances but I got very tired of Violet and I'm sad to say at times Jonathon was almost too sweet for me. *gasp* I know, I know how could I even say it but its true.  He was too beta not enough alpha for me.

Violet and Jonathan are forced to reunite to find a treasure led by her nearly departed estranged father.  This journey forces the two to communicate, re-connect and deal with their past.  For Jonathan he has always loved Violet and he'll take whatever he can get from her.  For Violet, Jonathan hurt her and she has been holding onto that drudge forever.  She quickly starts to realize that maybe Jonathan didn't do all the things that she originally thought he did.  After realizing this she starts to let him in but when the heart gets involved she runs AGAIN.

Thankfully the boys in the club make Jonathan realize that he should fight for what he wants, causing Violet to get her head out of her stubborn, daft, scared ass.  Sweet book about second chances and first loves but sadly not my favorite.,  However, even though I didn't like this one as much as the others it does not mean in anyway that I will discontinue with the series.  How could I when I'm dying to know how Cade's story will play out for him.

3 Romancing and Running Thumbs up!
