Falling Away (Fall Away #3) by Penelope Douglas ~ #bookreview
Falling Away (Fall Away #3)

Jaxon is the guy she’s supposed to avoid.

K.C. is the girl he won’t let get away....

K. C. Carter has always followed the rules—until this year, when a mistake leaves her the talk of her college campus and her carefully arranged life comes crashing to a halt. Now she’s stuck in her small hometown for the summer to complete her court-ordered community service, and to make matters worse, trouble is living right next door.

Jaxon Trent is the worst kind of temptation and exactly what K.C. was supposed to stay away from in high school. But he never forgot her. She was the one girl who wouldn’t give him the time of day and the only one to ever say no. Fate has brought K.C. back into his life—except what he thought was a great twist of luck turns out to be too close for comfort. As the bond between them grows, he discovers that convincing K.C. to get out from her mother’s shadow is hard, but revealing the darkest parts of his soul is nearly impossible.…

My Falling Away Review ...

You first fall for this series with Bully then we confirm that love with Until you.  I then fell a bit out of love with Rival for it being Bully v2.0.  This made me a bit gun shy for how this book was going to play out.  But here is the thing, this book ended up being my favorite out of the four so far.

Jax & K.C's  stories are heartbreaking but their love is strong and beautiful.  Let me tell you, Jax was so alpha and demanding for such a young age.  If there were boys like him when I went to highschool and University I think it would have been a much more pleasant time in my life. ;)
"I want your sweat on my skin, your tongue in my mouth, and your cock filling me up. Jax, I'm yours,"
For Jax and K.C it has always been a push and pull type of bond but you knew there was  deep seated fever brewing between the two but their pasts were defining them.  Once they try and break free of their past they can finally move forward.

Even though they are both trying to break free their pasts still have a firm hold on them.  This is not your typical NA relationship because their pasts have made them grow up way faster then they both should have, making their relationship so much more powerful.
"All you need to know," he whispered in my ear, "is that there's still shit that bleeds when you're not around."
K.C has always been told what to do and has the weight of others mistakes on her shoulders but thankfully for Tate's father she holds onto three pieces of advise he wisely gave her growing up.
1. Boys will lie, cheat, and steal to get into your pants.  A man will stand the test of time. Make him wait, and you'll see which one his is.
2. They will try to tell us that it feels better without a condom.  You just tell me where they live.
3. And relationships are supposed to make your life better. You don't drag each other down. You hold each other up.
Such great words to live by and thankfully they took route so K.C could see the true beauty of Jax.  I will admit I wasn't sure if I was going to like K.C because she didn't leave me with the best impression from the first few books, but she ended up being totally kick ass in this book.  Jax has always been drawn to K.C and wanted everything from her but his past has large anchors for him causing him to push her away when he needs her the most.  Thankfully when Juliet blossoms and K.C is left in the past she becomes the rock to Jax, which helps him realize that he has so much more than he ever thought or knew.

Like I said before Jax and Juliet are a little more grown up for being 20 & 19 which makes it a more mature NA book but their push and pull were palpable and you were routing for them to break the shackles of the past and find their HEA.

4.5 I have fallen for Jax thumbs up!
