The Marriage Match (Suddenly Smitten #3)

by

Hot bachelor seeks bride…

Resort tycoon Trent Hawthorne is looking for a wife. His all-business, no-nonsense grandmother (and the matriarch of the small town of Maple Creek) has selected three potential brides―all beautiful and approved. Each “fantasy date” will take place in a lush Caribbean setting, filmed like a reality show to promote the Hawthorne family’s chain of resorts. All of Trent's hopes for love combined with a clever marketing gimmick…what could possibly go wrong?

As it turns out, all it takes is a kiss. A sizzling, sweet-as-sin kiss. But Cynthia Sawyer isn't one of the bachelorettes, and she's definitely not supposed to be making out with her boss's sexy grandson. Not to mention it's strictly against company policy. But Cynthia has her own reasons for hooking Trent up with a bride who isn’t her as soon as possible. And losing her heart is a price that she's willing to pay…

Part 3 in a series but could be read as a standalone

My The Marriage Match Review ...

Here, we have the third book in the Suddenly smitten series by Tracy March.  As usual Tracy has captured a very sweet and charming couple.  This is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading it as a series so you get a better gist of all the characters.

Cynthia (Cyn) has been the sidekick friend of Liza and Paige.  Her upbringing was a different then all her friends which led her on a bit of a finding herself journey as a kid.  Now as an adult she is comfortable in her own skin and trying to meet her parents half way in understanding one another.  Cyn may not agree with everything her mom and dad are about but that doesn't mean she wants to see them lose their house to foreclosure.  Not knowing how to help them makes Cyn jump at the chance of a bonus from her boss the 'Queen' if she succeeds in finding her boss's grandson a fiance by the end of the summer.

Trent has lived a privileged life but doesn't mean he has everything.  What he doesn't have is love and companionship so he lets his grandma try and set him with a potential fiance and tape it at the same time as a marketing campaign for their hotels.  What Trent didn't anticipate was falling for his grandma's assistant before this all plays out.

Cyn tries her hardest to help Trent find love even if that means sacrificing her own heart to help her parents.  Trent and Cyn kiss one night but Cyn quickly pushes him away as she needs this bonus.  As Trent goes on dates, Cyn starts to realize that she has more feelings then she thought but can't do anything to stop it as they're from two different worlds and she's needing that bonus more than a relationship.

As Trent goes on the dates he can't get Cyn out of his mind so he back-handlingly makes Cyn the target of the marketing videos to give them a chance.   For Cyn and Trent it's easy to be together but Cyn is faced with reality and walks away.  Now all Trent has to do is convince the 'Queen' of his intentions and all should be easy, but life is not always easy.

This was a sweet story about two people from different worlds but are perfect for one another.  It was sweet and charming.

3.5 Charming thumbs up!
