As Reapers Motorcycle Club president, Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.

Too bad he’s completely obsessed with her.

Besides running her own business, London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how far will she go to save her family?

Excerpt

#FIVE

“Are you gonna sit down or not?” he asked.
“I’m really uncomfortable with”—I gestured toward the woman—“this.” “That’s not exactly my problem,” he said, dropping a hand to rest on her head. “But if it’s an issue, you can take her place.”

“No,” I said quickly.
“Then sit the fuck down and tell me why you’re here.”
His voice tightened, and I realized he was running out of patience. Fair enough—he obviously had other things on his  .  .  . ahem . . . mind. I carefully perched on the edge of the couch, facing the door. This was actually better, I realized. I didn’t have to look at him now. Although I could feel the woman’s movements through the furniture frame and that was very creepy.
“My cousin’s daughter is somewhere at this party,” I said quickly. “Her name is Jessica, and she has very poor judgment. I’d really like to get her out of here and home before she does something completely stupid.”
Like set the building on fire.
“You got shit timing.”
I didn’t respond, because what the hell would I say? So far as I knew, Hallmark didn’t make a “Sorry I Interrupted Your Oral Sex” card.

My Reaper's Stand Review ...
Oh! Reese aka Picnic! How I love you so!
Joanna Wylde is Awesome!!! She has done it yet again with another amazing MC book.  This series is great and it just keeps getting better and better.  I am totally hooked to these Reapers.  We first meet Picnic in Reaper's Property and now we finally get to find out what is behind this fearless leader of the Reapers MC.
Picnic needs a good woman! After losing his wife it's easier to be a 'dawg' then get a new old lady.  Even though Picnic is a 'ladies man' something about London intrigues him.
London has had a crush on Reese aka Picnic for quite awhile but the MC world is not for her straight laced world.  Her full focus is her niece Jess no matter the cost.  As Jess gets into trouble London is pulled into this MC world forcing her and Reese to need each other.   Their sexual connection is explosive causing their relationship to speed full steam ahead.  But sometimes that is not enough when she has to make a choice between lust/love and her niece.  It's a hard decision but it will always be Jessica first causing a new world of trouble for London.  Even though it was a tough choice,  I totally get it her decision as it would be hard to ask for help from your new boyfriend who you have only been with a week and a week before that he was getting busy right in front of your eyes. Oh! Picnic.
For Picnic he liked the life he lived but his past haunted him.  He didn't want to fall in love, but with a little extra push from his past London dug her way in.  Picnic had some issues and even though he had some douchebag moments you can't do anything but still love him for all his bad ass ways.  The more London infiltrates into Picnic's world the more we get to see the softer side of this bad ass. He needs a loyal kick ass sidekick and London fits the bill but once she makes a potential lethal mistake his world gets turned over once again causing him to question what he needs.
Once London's world changes so do her loyalties and commitments.  Can she make up for her choice or will she lose everything including her life?  So much drama in this Reapers world but Reese and London together are explosive and tethering.
Loved it! I love a strong heroine's and London fits the bill. If she didn't how would she have ever survived in Pic's life.
4.5 Picnic Loving Thumbs up!
