Throwback Thursday ~ Guest Post : Sitcom Edition by Jill Shalvis

Olivia, the heroine in my new book He’s So Fine, knows how nostalgic people can get about their favorite tv shows. As a child star she was adored, but after a monumental wild child phase she is ready to put the fame (and infamy) behind her. Olivia has changed her name and moved to Lucky Harbor. Thank goodness that most of the residents of this quirky little town are too busy gossiping (and trying to figure out how to use Twitter to speed up the process) to watch old reruns.

In honor of my heroine’s tv past, I wanted to remind you of those shows that you forgot you loved. I wonder if any of these child stars have found a guy as sweet and sexy as Cole?

The 60’s were groovy. They had The Andy Griffith Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched, Leave It To Beaver, The Addams Family, and I Dream Of Jeannie.

If you were a child of the 70’s, you might have liked The Brady Bunch, Little House on the Prairie, Happy Days, and The Partridge Family.

Children of the 80’s had big hair and The Wonder Years, The Facts of Life, Who’s the Boss?, Growing Pains, Punky Brewster, The Cosby Show, and ALF.

Lucky kids in the 90’s could watch cartoons all day not just on Saturday. They had Full House, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Saved by the Bell, Blossom, Beverly Hills 90210, Clarissa Explains it All, Doogie Howser MD, and Boy Meets World.

Summary

For Olivia Bentley, Lucky Harbor is more than the town where she runs her new vintage shop. It's the place where folks are friendly to strangers-and nobody knows her real name. Olivia does a good job of keeping her past buried, not getting too cozy with anyone . . . until she sees a man drowning. Suddenly she's rushing into the surf, getting up close and personal with the hottest guy she's ever laid hands on.

Charter boat captain Cole Donovan has no problem with a gorgeous woman throwing her arms around his neck in an effort to "save" him. In fact, he'd like to spend a lot more time skin-to-skin with Olivia. He's just not expecting that real trouble is about to come her way. Will it bring her deeper into Cole's heart, or will it be the end of Olivia's days in little Lucky Harbor?
