Lone Wolf (Bluewater Bay #4)

by

Hunter Easton is screwed. Fans, producers, and his agent are all chomping at the bit for the next book in his wildly popular Wolf’s Landing series, but he’s got epic writer’s block and is way behind deadline. Then he reads The World Tree, a fanfic novel by his online friend “Lone Wolf.” It isn’t just a great story—it’s exactly what the series needs.

Kevin Hussain is thrilled when “Wolf Hunter” wants to meet up after reading The World Tree. When Wolf Hunter turns out to be Hunter Easton himself, Kevin is starstruck. When Hunter tells him he wants to add The World Tree to Wolf’s Landing, Kevin is sure he’s being pranked. And when their online chemistry carries over—big time—into real life, Kevin is convinced it’s all too good to be true.

The problem is . . . it might be. The book deal, the sex, the money—everything is amazing. But fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and Kevin is left wondering if Hunter really loves him, or just loves his book.

My Lone Wolf Review...

Gah! I love this MM series.  Here we have a series where it takes place in Bluewater Bay but each book is written by different authors.  This book is written by the fabulous duo of Aleksandr Voinov and L.A. Witt.  There is just something magical about this duo's writing.

This whole series is based on a werewolf book called Wolf's Landing made into a TV series written by Hunter Easton and filmed in Bluewater Bay.  In this book we get to find out more about the elusive writer Hunter Easton and his queer tendencies with his book and series.  Hunter loves being a writer but he also likes his personal space but when he finds himself in the biggest writer's block he befriends a fan on a fanfiction forum named Lone Wolf.  The more the friendship continues and the lines of flirting open up the more Hunter wants.  So when Lone Wolf gives him the answer that he has been needing to help him with this block he goes to meet the Lone Wolf.

Hunter can only hope that after all the flirting and banter that Lone Wolf is a bit cute but when he's faced with reality he's so pleasantly surprised with this young hunk.  Kevin loves Hunter Easton and has been fanboying on him for awhile so when he finds out that his forum online buddy Wolf Hunter is actually Hunter Easton he nearly dies.

After getting over the shock of meeting Hunter Easton he's surprised when Hunter wants to incorporate Kevin's new book into Hunter's series.  Now that Hunter has deadlines and his agent loves Kevin's book everything happens at warp speed which makes Kevin's world unravel but at least he has his new relationship with Hunter. Or does he?

I loved this book as you get to feel all of the angst of Hunter and Kevin and at the same time the authors take you into the behind the scenes journey of the glamorous and not so glamorous of the book world.    For Hunter he has always liked his space but having Kevin invade it for the first time feels right but with deadlines and expectations things are moving very quickly so when he finds that Kevin may have moved on he needs to embrace having someone in his space or letting go.

Gah! I loved Hunter and Kevin together they were perfect! This is such a great mm book and series.

4 Not so alone anymore thumbs up!
