As the oldest of the ten Abbott siblings, Hunter prides himself on his ability to solve other people’s problems, but now he has a problem of his own—how to convince the woman of his dreams that his love is for keeps.

As the chief financial officer, Hunter Abbott manages the family’s various business interests while “fixing” things for the people he loves. But the one thing he can’t fix is his undeniable attraction to Megan Kane. Instead, Hunter is prepared to do whatever it takes to show Megan that he’s the man for her.

Megan’s sister rocks her with the news that she and her husband are moving overseas, leaving Megan truly alone. With her sister—and her job at the diner—going away, Megan finds herself leaning on the sexy, button-down accountant who isn’t afraid to lay it all on the line for her. But Megan has watched too many people she loves leave her. Can she risk her heart on Hunter?

My And I Love Her Review...

Ok, To start this series is one of those sweet series with a great family and loving men.  I was excited about this one as I have loved Hunter throughout the other books so I couldn't wait.  I was aprehensive with Megan because she did not endear me at all in the last three books but if Hunter saw something in her I was going to give her the benefit of doubt.
"You like me even thought I used to like him?"
"That never mattered to me, although I often wished you might someday consider his older, wiser and much more handsome brother."

To start off I was excited because the beginning portrayed as Hunter way more alpha then Will and Colton but as the book kept going he wasn't really that alpha and was way to sickly over the top sweet, however I did like that he was upfront with his feelings and didn't play any games where that was concerned.  The more I read the more I'm turning into goldilocks looking for the perfect hero and Hunter didn't quite fit the bill. However, Hunter did have some very sweet and charming moments:
"There's no place in matters of the heart for spreadsheets or pie charts."
"What?" he asked horrified.

"I really did hear what you said earlier, but I do want to be serious about you.  I know you've got stone walls up around your heart, and I understand why.  You should know I plan to scale those walls."

"What are you doing all the way over there?"
"Just waiting for you to invite me over there."
"Dear Meagan, please come closer to me.  Love, Hunter.  How's that?"

Now don't even get me going on Megan.  Argh!  The whole book she was a bunch of contradictions and mixed messages.

"I'm sending mixed messages here, aren't I?"  (Yep!)

At first she was confused that Hunter liked her since she had a crush on his brother for 10 years then she was all like ' I can get to know you but I'm not into long term'  What!!!! But you could waste 10 YEARS on crushing on someone????? Then for the whole book she was wishy washy and push and pull in regards to her feelings for Hunter.  I know this may sound heartless and I get that she lost her parents at a young vulnerable age but to never love again so you can't get hurt again.

This series started off charming me but the last two books have left me wanting more but since I am a masochist in regards to reading I will try and continue with this series to see how the rest of the Abbotts fair in regards to love and their HEA's.  This book was charming yet at times frustrating with Megan's back and forth.  I did like Hunter but wanted him to be more alpha than over the top sweet but in the end I do really have a soft spot for all the Abbotts.

3 Charming yet a bit annoying thumbs up!

Dove Glitch is embarrassed about everything above her knees and below her belly button. When she has to fill a delicate, embarrassing prescription the last thing she needs is a sexy-as-hell (and brand spanking new) pharmacist behind the counter.

Johnson Fitzwell’s first day of his dream career also happens to coincide with the exact moment Dove needs her feminine meds filled. His glorious voice is way too loud–as in, he should be counting down the hits with Ryan Seacrest kind of loud. Thanks to Johnson’s handsome face and gorgeous jaw line, Dove dives headlong into her waking nightmare and asks for a vagina-scented cream.

How could she not fall for him? Dove's only active goal now is to get Johnson to kiss her right on the lips. Either set. However, his horrible girlfriend is one of many obstacles preventing her from making that fantasy a reality. When Dove defends Johnson in the most unhygienic, unconventionally gross way in the middle of a crowded restaurant, their tender, slightly tantric relationship is off to a galloping, farting start.

Each print copy of this book will be dipped in holy water by my mom, and glared at by my father as he purses his lips. Neither will help. So, drop your pants and turn to the left and cough. I hope you're not allergic to latex, because it’s time to fill your prescription. Anally.

Oh God. We’re talking about me being naked, in the shower with cooter cream. Please world, end. Kill me.
“I know it’s not soap. I just… if it’s scented… I can’t do scented. Flowers and stuff like that. Fruit-flavored soaps make… things… burnish.” She could tell from the peeks at his face Mr. Fitzwell had never stepped foot in bath and lotion store, wanting to try the array of fun fragrances. Nor had he purchased Peppermint Candy shower gel, foamed up his nether regions, and felt like he had dipped them in lava. Dove crossed and uncrossed her legs at the memory.
Mr. Fitzwell seemed concerned. “Okay, just a heads-up. It’s definitely not good to put any fruits or plant life near your genitals.” He made a V with his hands and formed his own pretend vagina in front of his pants.
Dove covered her eyes and tried to defend herself because now she could hear the sickly older woman beating her supporters with a purse.
Dove’s mumbling got louder with her embarrassment. “I don’t put weird things down… there. Just make sure that the cream’s vagina-scented. Just plain. For vaginas.” She kept her eyes on the counter.

There are a lot of eyes in Debra Anastasia’s house in Maryland. First, her own creepy peepers are there, staring at her computer screen. She’s made two more sets of eyes with her body, and the kids they belong to are amazing. The poor husband is still looking at her after 17 years of marriage. At least he likes to laugh. Then the freaking dogs are looking at her—six eyeballs altogether, though the old dog is blind. And the cat watches her too, mostly while knocking stuff off the counter and doing that internal kitty laugh when Deb can’t catch the items fast enough.

Debra has a smattering of books in a few genres. There are two in the Seraphim Series and three in the Poughkeepsie Brotherhood Series with a prequel, Poughkeepsie Begins in the near future. Fire Down Below is the first in the comedic Gynzaule Series. The second, Fire in the Hole, will be published in late 2015. The Revenger, a dark paranormal romance will debut this summer. And last, a novella called Late Night with Andres is special because 100% of the proceeds go to breast cancer research. (So go get it right now, please!) My Fire Down Below Review...

Dear Debra ....

I don't even have proper words.

I can't even.  I don't even know what to say after this book.

This is a book you just have to experience with NO expectations what so ever.  It's fun, random, inappropriate which = shenanigans & fun

Hard to rate.  Shenanigans 4, randomness 3, inappropriateness 4, humor 4,  Storyline 3... it is more of a experience on itself than a book to review.

Lauren

Because Debra is crazy fun she is giving away a maxi puppet and an ecopy of Fire Down Below.  (US Only) Enter at your own risk.  LOL.

A Restored Man by Jaime Reese Blog Tour ~ #giveaway, #bookreview, #MM & #excerpt

Title: A Restored Man
Series: The Men of Halfway House #3
Author: Jaime Reese
Genre: M/M Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 17, 2015

Cole Renzo thinks his greatest challenge is to behave for the remainder of his term at Halfway House. Until he meets his new boss, Ty Calloway, a man who ticks off every box on Cole's list of interests.

A sought-after restorer and customizer of exotic and collectible cars, Ty had enough confidence to command what he wanted in life, until one fateful night changed everything. Almost two years later, he’s slowly rebuilding his life with great control. He's defied the odds and works tirelessly to be the man he once was—but he still feels broken.

Cole’s candor and unfiltered personality awaken Ty’s barely-remembered desire to greet each new day with a smile, while Ty’s unwavering acceptance of Cole’s quirks and brash humor makes Cole feel as if he fits in for the first time in far too long. When a nemesis threatens Ty’s personal restoration and the things he holds dear, Cole is determined to protect their relationship, even if that means sacrificing everything he’s worked so hard to achieve.

But Ty will have to let his guard down, surrender control, and admit he needs Cole first, even if that puts himself at risk of breaking beyond repair.

"I thought those were the service bays," Cole said, thumbing over his shoulder.
"They're for the traditional shop work my techs do on a daily basis. These are my service calls. Side project I'm doing and there's no money in it for the guys so I don't really want to burden them. I figured we could work on them and, in between, we could tinker with the Yenko if you want or wrap up the last few details on the Drayton rig. I worked on most of it over the weekend but there are still a few things to finish up."
Cole stopped walking. "You'd let me work on the Yenko with you?"
Ty nodded. "Sure, why not. I've seen how picky you are with your work."
"So it's my reward for helping you with your service calls?"
Ty chuckled. "Do you do tricks too?"
Cole raised an eyebrow and half smiled. "Oh, I've got a lot of tricks I can show you." He smiled at the rush of color to Ty's cheeks, loving the way Ty always reacted to his teasing.
"You do realize you're an HR nightmare," Ty said, looking at Cole with that glimmer in his eye.
Cole's pulse raced. "HR?"
"Human Resources. Sexual harassment, all that," Ty said, trying to look serious and indifferent, but failing miserably.
Cole belly-laughed so loud it echoed in the shop. He then stilled, straightened his shoulders, and mocked a serious tone. "I could, of course, be completely professional and proper with you, Mr. Calloway, if that is your preference," he said, mimicking Matt's formal tone.
Ty turned to face him, the mock seriousness transitioning into something more genuine. "And I, of course," he said, reciprocating Cole's tone, "would be deeply disappointed."
He looked up into those brown eyes and smiled. "My army of superheroes and I would be as well." He bit back a smile and bowed.
Ty's low rumble-laugh shot straight to Cole's dick.
Cole straightened. "Admit it, you like me."
Ty raised his hand and put his thumb and index fingertips together with only a sliver of a gap between them. "Maybe a little bit."
Cole looked at Ty's fingers then glanced back at him with a huge grin on his face. "It's a start," he said before walking off to the two cars parked in the bay.

Part 3 in a series but can be read as a standalone

My A Restored Man Review...

I was in the middle of a bit of a reading funk, where I found myself reading ARC's because of time and review commitments but none of them grabbing me until I started to read this one.  A Restored Man is part 3 in this series but it can be read as a standalone, which I did.  After this book, I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series and anything else by Jaime Reese.

In this book we have Cole who is at the halfway house after two years for grand theft.  For part of his probation he needs a job where he lands his dream job at an auto shop who specializes in restoration and customization.

Cole suffers from verbal diarrhea where he lacks a filter when talking, which more often then not gets him in trouble.  His new boss Ty is quiet and a bit of a recluse until Cole lands at this shop.  Immediately after their first meeting Ty starts to open up and live again.

"That boy is crazier than a two-peckered billy goat, but he's got a heart of gold and a sweet tooth for you."

Gah! I loved Cole and Ty together.  They are so perfect for one another.  Ty calms Cole while Cole awakens Ty.
"I can't.  I have issues. He shouldn't have to deal with them."  Jeff huffed a laugh.  "You have issues? Then that boy has subscriptions."
As Ty and Cole find their grove together they are forced to deal assholes, their pasts and family.  Ty has been through enough but he still has to deal an issue that could get him in trouble so until Cole he didn't know a way out, but Cole swoops in and saves the day by letting his past meet his present.

This story was fun, had good chemistry, great characters and a good amount of angst causing a great balance within the story.

4 Fast talking, big hearted thumbs up!
