Part one in a series

My His Reverie Review ...

With this book it had all the elements I was looking forward to. 1) Great Cover, 2) Written by Monica Murphy & 3) I was in the mood for a YA/NA type of book. 

This book was mainly from Nick's POV and also diary entries from Reverie.  Poor Nick has had some tough luck but the minute he sees Reverie his whole world changes.  With Nick's upbringing he has some issues with his self worth and doesn't think he deserves someone as pure and sweet as Reverie. 

Reverie has been sheltered her whole life but one thing she does know is how to love unconditionally.  When she meets Nick it is the first time that she wants to truly step out of sheltered life.  But is love enough?

Nick tries to stay away from Reverie but he can't.  The more he gets to know Reverie the more he falls for her.  But it is not all unicorns and rainbows for these two.  Nick has secrets, and a crazy ex-girlfriend, while Reverie's family life is about to implode.

 

As I was reading this book I was liking Nick more and more but Rev. Gah! I know its YA and normally I don't mind that genre but something about Rev's immaturity drove me batty and don't even get me started on how I feel about Krista.  However, I did like her reaction to Nick 's secrets and lies of omission.  This was Rev's saving grace for me in this book.

Now that the secrets are out and Rev is pure of heart and loves whole heartedly things start to hit the fan. Then ....  Argh! Damn cliffhangers!!!!!! Now I have to read Her Destiny to find out what happens to Nick.  Gah! What a diabolical plan, even though it was not my favorite book now I am hooked to this series.  Good job Monica Murphy! :) Good Job!
